This white gauze outfit of Zai Ji is highly distinctive among the looks in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. It actually places high demands on one's figure and movements, especially with the off-the-shoulder design on one side and the low-waist cut; a slight lack of attention could cause a wardrobe malfunction. To keep the photo quality high, I had to keep my core tight the entire time. This time, I specifically paired the look with golden-brown lace-up high-heeled sandals and armlets to create a visual balance with the character's overall ethereal vibe, striving for accuracy in every detail.

The lighting at the convention venue was incredibly complex, especially in this high-ceilinged glass dome exhibition hall. Natural light and venue spotlights blended together, making makeup reflections prone to washed-out details or overexposure. During the shoot, we had to constantly adjust our positions to find the right lighting. The highly reflective stone flooring had both pros and cons: the pro was that it formed secondary diffuse reflections, making the skin tone look more translucent; the con was that both the photographer and I became moving images reflected on a giant reflector board.

As for the props, I brought two mechanical weapon parts with red tassels this time. Although they look lightweight, they easily get tangled up because of the tassels, so I had to handle them carefully when moving around. Zai Ji's silver-white hair color and eye makeup both took a lot of time to create. Especially for the wig on top of the head, it had to be thinned out, trimmed, and styled to stand up, otherwise it would easily make the head look wide. The stylist this time was very meticulous, making the hair strands look very dynamic, giving them a more flowing feel when walking around the venue.

Although this white costume looks beautiful, it gets dirty very easily. With people coming and going on the exhibition hall floor, I had to be constantly careful about the hem of the outfit being stepped on when taking sitting shots. However, seeing that cool and slightly sharp visual effect in the final prints, these on-site difficulties turned out to be nothing at all. The interactions with passersby at the venue were actually quite interesting; many people could recognize the character at first glance, as her recognizability in the game is indeed very high. Capturing these moments perfectly brings out the depth required for exceptional Anime-style photography.
