Bringing the character for Ye Shunguang Cosplay to the World Expo Park Greenhouse Garden to complete this photoshoot, it feels incredibly special to recreate the character's vibe in this kind of urban oasis. Because of the large number of tourists during holidays, to capture clean backgrounds, we specifically rushed to enter the park at the very first moment after it opened in the morning. If you want to avoid the crowds, I sincerely recommend scheduling the shoot around 9:00 AM; combined with the soft natural light in the greenhouse, it will be much easier to shoot. This time, I brought the Ricoh GR IV as my primary camera. Its exceptional portability is literally a photography lifesaver in scenes that require frequent walking around to find angles. The greenery inside the greenhouse is richly layered, and with the diffuse reflections from the glass roof, the soft light and shadow perfectly showcase the texture of the red and white costume as well as the fluffy details of that massive plush tail to the fullest. Although we encountered some curious glances from tourists during the shoot, everyone was very polite and actively stepped aside, making the overall progress much smoother than expected. During composition, I also paid special attention to the shadows cast by the light on different plant leaves, striving to keep the frame pure and translucent. In this set of photos, the red and white color scheme looks exceptionally bright against the backdrop of tropical greenery, and the fur texture of the fox tail unexpectedly matches the natural atmosphere here. From the costume tailoring and hair accessory details to the makeup portrayal, I hope every aspect stays close to the character's inherent agility and free-spirited nature. If everyone also wants to come to this greenhouse to check in and do some casual cosplay, I highly recommend checking the park's entry policies in advance. Due to space limitations, arriving early not only gives you more great angles but also allows you to fully record the natural vitality when the sunlight pours in. Although carrying a whole tail and this set of gear consumed a lot of physical energy, seeing the final results makes me feel that all the early preparations were completely worthwhile for this Anime-style photography piece.
