[Alisaie cosplay] Dali travel photography cat encounter, straight out of camera behind-the-scenes drops

I finally have time to sort out this set of Alisaie travel photography. The sunlight in Dali truly comes with a top-tier filter; the light that day was unimaginably clear and transparent, so this series of pictures is basically straight out of camera, skipping even the steps of color grading and retouching. For many people who love photography, natural light is the best lighting technician, and this time I truly experienced it thoroughly. We arrived at the venue around 10 AM, and the sunlight cast mottled shadows on the wooden floor through the leaves; this sense of layering from alternating light and dark is extremely suitable for showcasing this red-and-white-colored costume.

Let's talk about this outfit first. What I brought this time is the classic styling of a red leather jacket and white shorts. To fit the character's setting, I intentionally chose a leather fabric with a relatively stiff texture. Although it felt a bit stuffy to wear and slightly restricted movement, the micro-reflective texture under the sunlight is incomparable to ordinary fabrics. The details of the zippers and metal buckles looked very sharp in the light, and professionalism is often reflected in the texture of these props. A lot of thought also went into the wig styling; the silver-gray hair strands needed to be repeatedly fluffed to create a messy yet voluminous feel. The flower garland on top of the head is the finishing touch, using artificial silk flowers intertwined with pink, yellow, and green. Under natural light, the color saturation is extremely high, which not only flatters the hairstyle but also makes the color contrast of the overall frame much richer.

The shooting location was an outdoor pavilion surrounded by lawns, gravel paths, and fences, with an overall pastoral atmosphere. The wooden flooring and green bench inherently carried a serene, everyday feel, making it extremely suitable for shooting daily-style photos. The shooting process was actually quite relaxed because the scene itself was very open and spacious, eliminating the need to deliberately search for angles. The photographer's wife understands me well; after taking a few standing poses holding props, we decided to sit down and rest for a bit. As a result, we got the most special behind-the-scenes moment this time. A chubby tabby cat suddenly sauntered over, swaggered its way onto the green bench, and refused to leave no matter how much we tried to shoo it away. I was still holding a prop in my hand and burst into laughter the moment I saw it. I simply sat down right next to it and reached out to stroke its fur. The cat immediately started purring, thoroughly enjoying it. The photographer's wife was quick-witted and immediately captured a few shots of me looking down and petting the cat. Because the light was sufficient and the shutter speed was fast enough, the cat's lazy appearance with its eyes half-closed formed a particularly interesting contrast of motion and stillness against the red leather jacket.

The temperament of the character Alisaie is actually quite complex, but in such a daily scene interacting with a small animal, it instead presents an inoffensive sense of gentleness. There was no deliberate posing in a combat stance; I was just relaxing on the bench, and the gaze didn't need to look intentionally fierce, just slightly lowering the head to look at the cat. The sunlight sprinkled down through the gaps in the trees, forming mottled light and shadow, while the greenery and gravel paths in the background served as a great complement to the figure. Such uncertainties during travel are often the key to producing great photos; there's no need to blindly pursue perfect studio lighting, as unexpected elements in the environment can instead give photos a greater sense of breathability. We shot on site for about half an hour, and the cat stayed the entire time, becoming the most perfect temporary actor. The cut of this outfit is quite forgiving to body shapes, but the fixing of the belt at the waist and the shoulder armor needs to be very secure; one must repeatedly confirm the positions of the props before shooting to avoid shifting during movement. Wearing the flower garland also requires technique—wearing it slightly further back can flatter the face shape and won't block the line of sight. The overall rhythm of this Dali travel photography was very comfortable, moving forward slowly at a leisurely pace and stopping to snap a few shots whenever encountering a nice view. I am very satisfied with the final result; this kind of cosplay record filled with natural, everyday life atmosphere has a bit more vividness compared to purely posed studio pictures. The fluffy texture of the cat combined with the toughness of the leather jacket—the collision of this contrast is truly particularly delightful.
