[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Qian Hang Yuan Ge VER., Melody in the Classical Hall

The photoshoot for this Qian Hang Yuan Ge VER. styling was set in a hall with classic European carved detailing, where warm yellow ambient light laid a vintage and tranquil tone for the imagery. To achieve high character fidelity, the wig featured a reddish-brown base tone accented with a specially styled dark blue highlighted strand, while the translucent white bunny ears atop my head produced a light, luminous translucency under warm lights. The entire costume is a black western-style dress design featuring multi-layered irregular frill hems that enrich visual dimension, alongside delicate lace panelling at the shoulders and neckline that prevents the black fabric from looking dull on camera. Paired with opaque black tights and chunky-heeled platform ankle boots with silver buckles, my overall proportions were beautifully extended.

The violin and bow held in my hands served as the core props for this shoot and a visual extension of the entire frame. To present a professional and deeply focused playing posture before the camera, I continuously adjusted the angle between bow and strings during filming, using wrist and arm strength to steadily support the violin body without letting the scroll droop. This stance heavily tests physical endurance and arm support, requiring sustained muscle tension to render clean, natural lines; yet seeing the illusion of music being played in the final shots made all that persistence completely worthwhile.

Choosing this location was also intended to echo that feeling often expressed in comments—the proud sentiment of watching a young girl grow into her own. Compared to the character's usual lively or innocent demeanor in Arknights, the Qian Hang Yuan Ge VER. skin grants her a composed elegance settled after long journeys. Tall Roman pillars and exquisite relief ornaments feel like a waystation along her travels; performing within this grand space creates a distinct, serene atmosphere.

I really love the "behind-the-scenes feel" captured during this shoot. Beyond close-up portraits, the wider-angle shot recorded not only my pose in the warm halo of light, but also included the back of the black-clad photographer directly ahead, a friend crouching on the floor in the lower right looking for low-angle shots, and even background visitors strolling around. This authentic, lived-in atmosphere breaks the complete isolation typical of polished cosplay photosets, making Amiya cosplay feel much more vivid and alive. Unlike strict studio settings or formal Convention photos setups where areas are cleared, no one disrupted the public space unnecessarily, creating an inclusive environment that allowed me to feel deeply relaxed.

Shooting this genre sets high demands for lighting in Anime-style photography. Warm light sources in the hall created a cinematic texture, while the red-and-white patterned marble floor offered fantastic reflectivity, clearly mirroring the skirt reflections and leg lines to add substantial spatial depth to the frame. In such an immersive environment, I aimed to capture the harmony between the character and classical setting, reaching for her gentle yet steadfast traits. Putting on this intricate attire required time to fully get into character, but under the photographer's guidance, I quickly focused on movement and gaze placement. I hope this visual language successfully conveys the unique charm and growth trajectory of Amiya.
