I was genuinely happy when shooting this New Year themed Cheshire photoset. Since the character herself possesses a highly enthusiastic personality and never hesitates to express her affection for the Commander, I specially chose this modified Qipao as the costume this time, attempting to blend the character's clingy nature with the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year.

This outfit actually requires a lot of control when worn. To better match the character's original doll-like temperament, the modified halter design with cut-outs was specially paired with white stockings and a plush shawl. The golden frog fasteners at the collar and the golden embroidery on the black tulle look incredibly textured under the studio lights. As for the hair accessories, the combination of red and white flowers with tassels serves as another visual focus, preserving traditional elements while maintaining a refined anime cosplay sense.

During the shooting process, the scene setup was also critical. We laid a thick white plush blanket on the wooden couch so that whether sitting or semi-reclining, body comfort was guaranteed while making the red dress and the golden background decorations stand out more. The reflector on the floor increased the diffuse reflection of the light, making the facial skin tone look exceptionally translucent, which is one of the reasons why the whole person seems to glow in this photoset.

Regarding the use of props, the photographer brought over small golden ingots, red berry clusters, and 'Fu' character stickers with tassels. Fiddling with them in my hands naturally brought out a sense of interaction. Especially in the shot where I am holding up a red berry cluster with one hand, featuring crossed legs and an agile expression, I personally feel the lively and playful vibe of Cheshire was captured quite well.

Since it's a New Year theme, red is the absolute dominant color tone. Therefore, a large number of red standing signs and paper lanterns printed with 'Fu' and 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' were arranged in the scene. With golden branches and leaves as the background backing, the entire frame gained a brilliant and warm texture. It's particularly worth mentioning that I wore safety shorts before the shoot as required; after all, the cut of this modified Qipao is relatively high, so when doing those leg-lifting or kneeling poses, I could immerse myself into the state with peace of mind without worrying about post-production editing or review issues.

The entire photoset went smoothly, and photographer Pulao411 was highly professional in light control and action guidance, capturing my best state without wasting too much energy. For me, the meaning of cosplay is not just simply changing into a set of clothes, but more importantly, understanding the core of the character and then displaying that temperament through the lens. Completing this New Year themed photoset gives me a great sense of accomplishment. Looking at the thriving red elements and the character's confident smile in the frames, I hope to maintain this focused shooting state so that every photoshoot can leave behind beautiful memories.
