[Barbara Cosplay] Chimelong Water Park ACG Party: Cool Summer Record

Today, I wrapped up the Barbara Cosplay shoot at the Chimelong Water Park ACG Party. To match the vibe of a summer water party, I chose Barbara's sailor style cosplay summer outfit. The blue and white combination created a fantastic visual effect under the sunshine and beside the water, making for a truly refreshing Cool summer outfit.

In terms of costume preparation, the lace trim on the top, the golden bow on the chest, and the multi-layered gradient blue-and-white tulle skirt all required meticulous care. To ensure the curve and flare of the skirt looked natural during shooting, I ironed it thoroughly beforehand. The accompanying yellow duck pouch was also part of the overall look; to keep its crisp, structured shape, I had to pay close attention to its placement throughout the shoot.

The beach area at Chimelong was wonderful for outdoor photography. To handle the high temperature and intense outdoor sunlight, I applied waterproof and sweat-resistant base makeup, and chose high-pigment bright-blue contact lenses to keep my eyes spirited under the glare. The wig was treated in advance to prevent frizz, allowing the twin-tails and lace hair accessories to hold their basic silhouette while moving around. Because of the sweltering heat, touch-ups were very frequent; each time I refreshed my makeup, I had to tidy up my bangs and sideburns to ensure no messy stray hairs showed up on camera.

Walking barefoot across the sand came with scorching surface temperatures and prickly sand grains, but for the overall cohesion of the visuals, I persevered barefoot throughout the entire session. Without shoes, the foot details and leg lines were accentuated much more prominently in frame, prompting multiple adjustments to the leg ring and my poses. I didn't wear stockings this time, so significant effort went into the skin texture and lighting on bare legs, with post-processing aiming to retain natural skin texture as much as possible. For pose design, to align with the water party's atmosphere, I tried lounging on a beach chair stretching my legs, reaching toward the camera, and splashing water.

Reflections off the water surface were quite harsh, making facial shadows tricky to balance, requiring constant angle adjustments with the reflector board. There were tourists watching around us during the shoot; while I felt a bit self-conscious, hearing people recognize the character brought an immense sense of accomplishment. Shooting under direct sunlight was physically exhausting, but seeing the frames on the camera monitor made every drop of sweat feel worthwhile.

The overall color palette went for a fresh summer style, retaining the luminous clarity of aqua blue in post-processing. I hope everyone can feel this soothing coolness during the hot summer. Through dynamic body language and crisp, refreshing colors, this photo set strives to convey the character's lively, upbeat, and energetic personality.
