This set of Hyakuya Mikaela official photos focuses on a combat stance that carries a touch of laziness and elegance, but also aims to capture some fragments of everyday serenity.

For this Anime cosplay, the wig selects a light golden color, and the small tuft of hair on top is the key focus; it needs to grasp that slightly messy layering without looking too greasy or too soft, and once styled, the person's entire contour instantly stands out. Paired with red contact lenses, a clean gaze brings out his usual gentle yet aloof aura.

On the costume, the white cloak-style long coat and cuffs feature a black-and-gold color scheme design. The pattern of these sleeves is crucial, as it makes the arms appear slender yet substantial when holding props. The boots are glossy black long boots, which, together with a full set of white gloves, makes this outfit highly restrained in color—using only black, white, red, and gold. Therefore, under lighting, it shows exceptional texture and excellent glossiness. The metal ring accessories and chains on the chest increase the layers of the apparel, preventing the white coat from looking too monotonous.

The backdrop for this shoot leans toward a vintage European style, where the red patterned carpet and white ceramic vessels perfectly match the attributes of this outfit. A few props were specially chosen to coordinate, such as that old book; when used to portray a "reading" pose, it carries a strong sense of narrative, perfectly neutralizing the sharp edge brought by the clothing. When holding the red-hilted long sword, it showcases the combat side instead. The birdcage and candlestick in the room are also beautifully embedded into the frame as background elements, reducing the emptiness of the image.

In terms of composition and shooting angles, we experimented with several different perspectives. The oblique high-angle shot maximizes the character's expressions and lazy sitting posture, displaying a playful and willful side, while the eye-level composition leans more toward an elegant presentation, used to highlight the full-body effect of the costume. The post-production slightly retained a cool-toned color scheme, with contrasts of light and shadow in the environment, keeping the overall atmosphere in a cool and enchanting state.

Actually, before the shoot, I thought for a long time about how to grasp this specific character trait; he is not completely sharp and flamboyant, but also possesses this soft part of sitting quietly. Therefore, I deliberately avoided many exaggerated large-scale movements this time, relying more on the gaze and small props in hand, such as holding books or a sphere, to convey the character's emotions. When shooting this set of costume, makeup, and props, it actually took quite a bit of time just to organize the details—whether the cuffs were aligned or if the chains were wrapped properly—but the final effect presented in the cosplay photoshoot made these details completely worth it.

Creating a cosplay photoshoot requires a lot of preparation work; everything from hair to clothing must conform to the original design. Although the whole process is exhausting, seeing the photos successfully record the atmosphere brings a great sense of satisfaction. The above is the shooting log for this time, serving as a small review for this project.
