This outfit actually took a lot of preparation before the convention. The gray-and-black mini-plaid short-sleeve shirt, a black bow with a metallic crucifix pendant at the collar, and the layered black leather waist cincher—every detail was curated to evoke that retro, slightly dangerous aura. The rivets and lace-up cords on the leather corset required careful fastening; while cinching creates a sharp waistline, sitting down demands conscious postural adjustment to avoid looking cramped.

For the wig, I went with light blonde straight hair and blunt bangs, styled into subtle half-up mini twintails on both sides. A clean foundation was accented by reddish-pink smudged eyeshadow and long eyelashes, paired with elongated manicured nails to lend the makeup a fiercer edge. The black stockings formed a striking monochrome contrast against the white lace trim of the skirt. Under the convention hall lighting, this tactile quality was amplified, giving the final photos great compositional depth.

Regarding props, the black notebook in my hands features white English lettering printed on the cover. Though the pages inside are blank, holding it while posing instantly pulled me into character. The shooting area was set on a white plush rug, backed by rich neon tubes weaving red, yellow, green, and blue into a natural cyberpunk dreaminess. When discussing the shoot with the photographer, I particularly stressed light and shadow dynamics, hoping for prominent contrast across highlights and shadows.

Whether kneeling or reclining on the plush rug, sculpting the lines of the legs was crucial. When lounging on my side, leaning the center of gravity slightly forward and arching the insteps enhanced the shadows and curves of the black stockings. For standing frames, resting one hand on the hip while raising the notebook to chest height and lowering the eye line naturally brought out that cool, enigmatic presence. The convention floor was fairly noisy with constant foot traffic, but once I locked into character and focused on the lens, tuning out distractions felt effortless.

Bringing this set together really prioritized outfit synergy and fluid posing. The leather corset and metallic hardware might look subdued under daylight, but in the convention's dim ambiance and neon glow, their reflectivity and texture truly popped. In post-processing, I subtly darkened the peripheral vignette while brightening skin tones and the notebook's white lettering to anchor visual attention on the subject. When portraying characters with dark Gothic style elements, confidence is everything—keep movements expansive, hold an unwavering gaze, and the final shots will brim with striking tension.
