The theme of this shoot was crystal clear: Cyrene from Honkai: Star Rail. Dressed in this dreamy, lightweight outfit, we completed this creative Studio portrait in a pure white photo studio.
Let's talk about the costume details first. The upper body features an off-the-shoulder white sleeveless top, which highlights shoulder and neckline curves beautifully. Three-dimensional blue and pink dual-toned flowers and gem embellishments on the chest add depth to the pure white upper bodice. The most eye-catching part is the multi-colored gradient skirt with rich layering. Utilizing light blue, light purple, and white color-blocking combined with soft chiffon fabric, the skirt displays wonderful fluidity under soft studio lighting.
Regarding accessories, I wore a short pink wig whose shade matched the overall outfit tone seamlessly. The headpiece featured a floating halo formed by white rings connected with string pearls—an exquisite design adding ethereal divinity to the whole look. Pale blue floral hairpieces on both sides paired with sharp elf ear props, making the styling completely transcend everyday feel into strong fantasy territory thanks to detailed Elf ear makeup and styling. Colorful wide cuffs on wrists served as color transitions, while white high-heeled ankle boots featuring intricate lace-cut patterns on the shaft left no detail hidden.
Choosing a pure white background was a challenging decision for this shoot. Since the costume colors were soft and low-saturation, poor background light control could easily make the subject look flat or blur edge separation. Fortunately, lighting was set evenly, with side-backlight tracing contours I was deeply satisfied with. Switching between poses showcased different sides of this Dreamy girlish outfit: standing allowed multi-layered skirts to drop naturally, where single-leg standing focused visual weight on waist and skirt layers for a tall, graceful look; kneeling or sitting allowed skirts to fan out across the floor with generous train drapes for a gentle aura; side-lying poses emphasized leg lines and boots while fully displaying upper-body clothing structure.
For specific styling adjustments, the wig underwent extra trimming and layering for natural fluffiness at the ends. Having posted similar style sets before, the most frequent question in comments was how this skirt is put on or removed. Honestly, multi-layered skirts with wide trains really test balance, especially as sheer skirt fabrics drag easily, requiring careful lifting while walking. Yet before the lens, even a subtle turn reveals beautiful textures—which was precisely the lively fluidity we aimed to convey in costume design.
Thanks to excellent daylighting during the shoot, post-processing was uncomplicated. We avoided heavy environmental color rendering, focusing on subtle skin translucency tweaks to preserve the outfit's original dreamy, translucent hues, keeping visuals close to a film camera's natural, soft style.
