[Cheshire Cosplay] Azur Lane Cheshire Oath Skin Cosplay: Sweet Moments in an Ice-Blue Dreamy Tulle Gown

The post-processing for this set of Cheshire Oath Skin Cosplay photos from Azur Lane is finally complete, and I'm taking advantage of the weekend to share the finished photoshoot and my shooting experience with everyone. For this Cheshire bridal look, the overall color palette was set on an interplay of ice blue and pure white, which, combined with the bridal theme's signature cat-ear elements, truly hit all my sweet spots.

Let's first talk about the styling design, makeup, and hair. To match the bridal theme, the wig used a silver-gray base with an ice-blue gradient at the ends; this cool tone looks exceptionally clean in front of the lens. The cat-ear styling atop the head incorporates a crown and white veil. The headdress is actually much heavier than it looks, requiring the head to maintain a comfortable supporting angle during shooting. Here's a tip for cosplayers planning to do this same look: make sure the bobby pins or straps behind the headdress are firmly secured, otherwise the white veil can easily slip down and disrupt the overall layered depth.

For the outfit, we chose this blue-and-white gown rich in lace and translucent tulle. The upper bodice features fitted white lace patchwork embellished with gemstones on the chest, blending elegance with subtle allure. The long white gloves serve as a classic French vintage element. The lower skirt is lined with a light-blue translucent reflective fabric layered with multiple tiers of sheer tulle; under the camera and reflective textures, this truly creates a shimmering, dreamlike effect. The high-slit design naturally elongates the leg lines, which, paired with sequined rhinestone high heels, keeps the entire visual center of gravity both light and slender.

In terms of set design, we opted for large swathes of deep blue and pure white draping as the backdrop, making the ice-blue primary tone pop brilliantly. The studio's overhead and side lights refracted through transparent bead curtains hanging from the ceiling, creating an aesthetic akin to gentle rain and frosty snow while making bright highlights stand out against the deep blue set. The mirror-like reflective material laid across the floor was also crucial—it reflected light up onto the subject from below, eliminating harsh lower shadows and crafting an ethereal floating sensation, as if standing in an ice palace.

During the shoot, we also experimented with compositions from various perspectives. The camera mainly focused on leg lines, the graceful flare of the skirt, and the upper-body demeanor of the character. Poses like gently lifting the skirt hem or holding a bouquet while leaning slightly forward fit this bridal theme wonderfully. Regarding camera angles, wide shots beautifully captured the venue's ambiance, while half-body close-ups emphasized the delicate details of the headpiece and facial features. The composition in Photo 3 naturally combined an elegant sitting pose, a billowing voluminous skirt, and elongated leg lines; with light streaming from the upper side, both skin tone and fabric textures look rich and dimensional, making it especially well-suited as the cover photo.

Although the entire shoot was physically demanding, collaborating with the photographer and support crew was seamless, and capturing those exact moments of expression, light, and shadow brought immense joy. A look so full of fairy-tale and ethereal fantasy is meant to convey a sense of lightness, sophistication, and character fidelity.
