The most demanding aspect of this Touhou Project Reimu Hakurei Cosplay costume was constructing its layered depth. The main red skirt and white ruffled underskirt complement each other harmoniously, while the oversized detachable sleeves on the sides—printed with delicate red floral motifs and lace trimming along the edges—spread like wings whenever arms open naturally or raise props, creating expansive visual breadth. The giant red-and-white ribbon bow atop the head is the soul of the look; although it requires careful positioning to avoid tilting, once secured, it instantly enriches the entire silhouette. The red-and-white braided cord ornaments dangling on both sides feature small silver metallic charms at the ends, catching light with a subtle glimmer as they sway. The yellow necktie accent on the chest balances the visual weight between red and white.
During the photoshoot, seated postures posed the biggest test for arranging the sleeves. As seen in the photos, sitting on the stone platform and lifting the prop adorned with tassels and ornate streamers requires just the right wrist positioning to let cuffs drape naturally, while maintaining the wind-blown dynamic flow of the ribbons. The prop weight was also well-balanced, requiring minimal effort to brandish, allowing hands to maintain natural ease whether raised or lowered. Through repeatedly adjusting the flare angle of the skirt and the fluttering swing of the sleeves, my adaptability to this outfit grew increasingly comfortable.

In the Garden exterior, surrounded by red walls, green tiles, and dappled tree shadows, it truly felt as though I spent a tranquil interval in some secluded paradise.
