The character I'm cosplaying this time is Rumia from Touhou Project, who is often called the "man-eating pixie" or the "child of the dark." To recreate that feeling of being both a bit innocent and dangerous, I specially adjusted the red smudging range under and at the outer corners of the eyes in the makeup to make my gaze look more blurred. The wig is a very bright pale gold, trimmed into this fluffy short hair, and paired with the red bow hair accessory, the character recognition immediately jumps up. For the outfit, I chose a black Gothic-style dress with white trim, adding layered lace and translucent black cuffs, and the bow tie was also made in a dark red color scheme to unify the overall tone. For the prop, I prepared a prop knife with a matte and frosted blade surface, so it won't reflect too much light when shot, visually coming closer to that thin and sharp texture. During this shoot, I tried some casual poses sitting on the carpet, including a close-up of holding the knife against my chin, as well as a full-body composition with my legs stretched out to elongate the frame. The photographer controlled the light and shadow very well; the indoor cool white light source made the textures and lace details on the clothes clearly visible, while retaining soft shadows on the face. I am quite satisfied with this level of accuracy myself. The character designs in the Touhou Project series are extremely charming; every character has a unique sense of story, and Rumia's seemingly harmless yet actually dangerous setting is especially attractive. Although she is a minor character, in terms of details such as the small crucifix decoration at the neckline and the ruffles on the skirt hem, every part was made as close to the original work as possible. The shooting process was very pleasant. It's not easy to catch natural states in convention photos. I hope this slightly dark yet cute style allows everyone to see another side of this character.
