For this Luo Xiaohei look, the most effort actually went into handling the wig and makeup. After receiving the wig, I did a secondary trim; to maintain the natural fall of the bangs, I made micro-adjustments at both the roots and tips to achieve a fluffy yet frizz-free texture. White hair easily reflects light and can look unnatural, so I prepped it with matte texturizing spray before shooting to tone down any plastic sheen. The green contact lenses have intense color payoff, capturing the character's signature visual traits the moment they were put on. To make the eyes look more spirited, the eyeliner was naturally extended at the outer corners, paired with upper and lower falsies to enlarge the eyes, finished with generously blended pink blush and a soft lip tint to boost complexion. For the base makeup, I opted for lightweight foundation combined with targeted spot concealer, striving to preserve natural skin texture before the camera, while setting everything solidly to prevent makeup meltdown from prolonged wear of wigs and colored contacts.

The yellow-green plush beast ears serve as the crowning touch of this styling. To ensure they stayed secure without crushing the hairstyle, I used a dual-anchor method with a headband and hidden bobby pins. The fur texture of both ears was intentionally combed outward, making the black and yellow edge fibers look exquisitely layered under natural in-car lighting. Regarding attire, the multi-tiered white ruffled collar required smoothing out piece by piece—the slightest crease would disrupt the visual harmony. The lake-blue bow on the chest acts as the visual focal point, taking considerable time to adjust for angle and saturation, while the light cyan-green top also demanded constant attention to keep the hemline flat and neat.

The first photo was a low-angle upward shot taken inside the convention hall. The combination of ceiling grid patterns and overhead lights was quite challenging; shooting from a low angle not only requires discipline over facial muscle movements, but also demands vigilant awareness of jawline shadows. Nonetheless, the resulting interplay of light and shadow carried a dramatic sense of depth and storytelling. The second picture is a selfie taken in the car after wrapping up, taking advantage of the natural daylight. Front-facing cameras easily cause wide-angle distortion, so I held the phone further away; the side rim light sculpted the side of my face, perfectly contouring the plush texture of the ears and the delicate hues of the makeup. When taking selfies inside a vehicle, finding angles is crucial—avoiding seatbelt obstructions while using outdoor ambient light as the primary key source makes the skin look remarkably translucent.

The complete styling took roughly three to four hours from initial makeup tests to fine-tuning details. The comfort of the colored contacts, wig sculpting, accessory fastening, and garment tailoring all demanded patient trial and error. Sharing these photos is truly about documenting my explorations and progress in styling and makeup. Walking through convention crowds requires extra diligence in garment upkeep—especially that large bow, which easily deforms in crowded aisles, necessitating periodic restroom touch-ups. Though this style appears clean and minimalist, managing it takes substantial care. Every adjustment is valuable experience, and every shoot uncovers new insights to perform even better next time.
