Collaborating with photographer Yuzhan this time, I shot convention photo sets for Cheshire's Oath Wedding Skin from Azur Lane. The location was an indoor venue featuring industrial steel truss structures; the stark, rigid metallic backdrop and bright high-key lighting surprisingly brought out a soft, delicate texture from the white lace and baby blue chiffon—a sharp contrast I had wanted to explore from the very start.

Let's first delve into the garment details. The overarching palette centers on white and soft blue. The headpiece features a distinctive design resembling a pair of cat ears adorned with abundant ruffled lace, accented with small blue ribbons on both sides. The wig chosen was a short silver-gray cut with light blue highlights; paired with blue contacts, the anime aesthetic came across naturally. The upper bodice is a white corset with cutouts and lace-up straps across the chest, where the neck choker connects seamlessly with the chest ornaments to produce a sharply cinched waistline. The skirt is a tiered high-low petticoat gown—revealing part of the thighs in front while draping an extended train of translucent gossamer and lace in back, embellished with delicate floral embroidery. Blue ribbon bows flank both sides of the waist, decorated with blue butterflies. To complete the outfit, I wore white round-toe platform high heels, which not only supported the long train but also visually elongated the leg lines.

For props, I prepared a blue-and-white rose bouquet wrapped in white satin ribbons and translucent paper, matching the overall color scheme seamlessly. The poses drew inspiration from Cheshire's classic in-game wedding oath artwork, especially the poised yet natural presentation typical of convention photos.

In the first full-body shot, I held the bouquet in one hand while gently lifting the side hem with the other, leaning slightly forward to display the skirt's rich tiers while elongating the leg lines. The photographer set the camera low to capture the full sweep of the skirt train, placing the model directly at center for a clean composition. The blurred industrial steel framework in the background supported the scene without pulling focus. The second shot focused on close-up facial expressions and upper-body nuances: holding the bouquet in both hands and angling sideways allowed the lens to capture the headpiece lace and chest strap accents. The long overhead strip lighting created strong specular reflections on the white fabric, requiring constant micro-adjustments to prevent overexposure while preserving the saturation of the blue roses and ribbons.

Throughout the entire session, I realized how much this outfit's layered nuances demand careful on-set adjustments to shine best before the lens. Using reference poses helped me settle into character quickly without forced gestures—simply following the garment's natural center of gravity kept the poses effortless. Successfully completing these shots was made possible by the photographer's precise mastery of lighting and shadows in Cosplay photography.
