This set features the New Year special Qipao look for Cheshire from Azur Lane. As an iconic representative of shipgirl moe-style cosplay, Cheshire's in-game image is highly recognizable. For this set, I chose a modernized Qipao in a red, black, and gold color scheme to blend her lively, playful nature with the festive celebration of traditional Chinese New Year.

The highlight of the outfit lies in the vibrant collision of red, black, white, and gold. The top is a short halter Qipao featuring black sheer lace and exquisite gold thread embroidery on a red base, infused with rich Chinese elements. The skirt boasts a high slit, paired with her iconic white lace garter stockings (white tights cosplay accents) and pure white high heels, perfectly highlighting leg lines and layered silhouetting. Surrounding her shoulders and back is a thick, fluffy white faux-fur shawl, which not only keeps off the indoor chill but also adds a soft winter texture that balances the visual punch of the red Qipao, making the entire outfit feel both festively warm and gently delicate.

For the hairstyle, it retains Cheshire's iconic silver-gray short hair and blunt bangs, while blending cyan-blue gradient highlights into the ends, giving a lively touch beneath the layered bangs. Furthermore, the accompanying headpiece is quite gorgeous: adorned with red flowers and tassel ornaments on both sides, combined with white ruffled headwear, creating an illusion akin to animal ears or a mini top hat—fitting perfectly with Cheshire's energetic and unpredictable personality.

In terms of props, large gold ingots and a calligraphy brush were chosen to emphasize the New Year atmosphere. In the third photo, holding up the massive gold ingot paired with a slightly mysterious yet confident smile echoes Cheshire's smug and self-assured trait. Meanwhile, holding the writing brush in the second photo brings out a touch of scholarly flair, interacting with the scattered calligraphy scrolls to capture the character's nuanced posture—cute with a hint of charming contrast. The yellow official plushie also appears as a cute detail, adding a casual, everyday touch to this richly textured photoshoot.

The studio set utilized an exquisite modern Chinese real-life scene. Dark carved wooden daybeds, classical round moon gate screens, window grids, bamboo-woven vases, and faintly visible landscape painting screens together construct a poised and warm indoor aesthetic. Natural light mixed with studio warm lights casts bright highlights on the gold ingots and white heels. The wooden flooring, green bamboo, and fern accents enrich the color harmony and visual depth.

For composition and emotional expression, I focused on presenting Cheshire's relaxed, cozy, yet slyly clever state. Poses referenced her in-game character art while adapting vintage Chinese postures. The third photo features a legs-crossed sitting pose, where the white tights and white heels create a striking light-dark contrast against the warm wooden background. The gold ingot held in hand balances the frame composition and guides the viewer's gaze. The gentle smile with her head tilted conveys a relaxed holiday mood reminiscent of exchanging New Year blessings with close ones.

To deliver a perfect visual presentation, the makeup was specifically adjusted with an emphasis on 3D contouring and eye brightening, making her gaze appear sharp and lively on camera. From outfit stitching details to hair volume and prop matching, every aspect of this cosplay was meticulously crafted. Although this is a traditional Chinese style New Year look, the core strictly adheres to Cheshire's design philosophy in Azur Lane. Incorporating fashion and anime charm into traditional Chinese frameworks, I hope to show everyone a more versatile and lively New Year Cheshire. This combination of outfit and posture truly fits the festive holiday spirit.
