First, editing two photos with my phone because I just couldn't resist.jpg

The design of this outfit is incredibly rich in layers. The deep navy blue outer skirt is adorned with gold lines and chain decorations, superimposed with a white ruffled lining, making the visual focus very clear. The blue ribbons and two yellow bells on the headpiece add a touch of playfulness to the overall look.

This photoshoot took place at the junction of the park and the waterfront in Odaiba. The white suspension bridge in the pictures is an iconic background; the wide waters and towering bridge pylons create a wonderful sense of spatial depth. To restore the costume details and overall atmosphere as much as possible, we specifically chose a cloudy, overcast day for the shoot. The benefit of this natural diffuse light is that the light is very soft, ensuring no harsh glare or dead black shadows in the frame.

The shooting process was actually quite a test of stamina. Although this outfit is very well-structured, the volume of the skirt means it's easy to catch on external objects. Especially in the second picture where I'm sitting by the stone shore, I had to adjust my center of gravity to maintain an elegant sitting posture while making sure not to dirty the white thigh-high socks and ruffles. The wooden bench in the fourth picture is a spot I felt was particularly suited for a relaxed state; the frame captured under the tree shade has a quiet sense of ambiance.

This time, I used my phone to quickly edit two pictures, mainly adjusting the exposure and highlights so that the texture of the dark fabric could be revealed without losing the layers of the white tulle. The character's original setting features a blue-gray hair color scheme, and this low-saturation color combination looks exceptionally clean and fresh under natural daily light. Additionally, although the neckline of this outfit has a distinct design, I maintained good posture control during the shoot, so the overall effect retains the character's temperament while blending naturally with the outdoor environment.

Honestly, when doing an Odaiba cosplay location shoot, you always encounter situations where passersby cast curious glances. But as long as you immerse yourself in the shooting state and focus on how to interact with the surrounding park, benches, and the bridge in the distance, the captured images will be very lively and natural. Poses like casually grabbing the skirt in pictures one and three were actually improvised on the spot.

The matching of the entire outfit, such as the white platform shoes, thigh-high socks, and sleeve cuffs, all feature highly detailed items. I am quite satisfied with the unity of colors in the final product—the deep blue, pure white, and a few gold accents look even more textured against the backdrop of green trees and the water surface on a cloudy day.

Looking back at these raw photos in the end, I feel that outdoor light is truly the best filter for Japanese anime-style photography. As long as you find the right angle and light, straight-out-of-camera phone photos can have a wonderful atmosphere. I couldn't resist sharing some of my thoughts and records from this Odaiba location shoot with everyone right away. Let it just become a part of my daily journal.
