When slipping into this Vivian cosplay outfit, my thoughts were mostly focused on how to capture that signature blend of lazy ease and nimble grace. A major highlight of the look is this long pale-purple wig; to achieve a fluffy, natural texture, I invested considerable effort into layering the strands and trimming the bangs, ensuring it flowed with light and airy grace before the camera without looking stiff or bulky.

Regarding costume details, the white lantern-sleeved shirt drapes beautifully, while the outer black sleeveless vest features a sharp cut that visually flatters body contours. The blue-and-white striped ribbon bow at the neckline paired with the blue rhombus gem serves as the primary visual anchor of the upper body, where contrasting colors establish a crisp, layered rhythm. The black leather corset at the waist and the alternating blue-and-black geometric panels on the skirt hem, accented by silver metallic accessories, give the ensemble a graceful yet neutral and cool edge. During shooting, one must pay close attention to shoulder and cuff tension, ensuring cuff button details remain crisp so the outfit stays sharp even through wider movements.

The Elf ears cosplay prop is one of the soul elements of the character's design; its wearing angle and proportion drastically impact camera presentation. I specifically adjusted their placement to blend seamlessly with wisps of hair by the ears, ensuring the elf ear silhouette remained crisp and dimensional during profile or three-quarter angle shots. For makeup, matching Vivian's nonchalant aura, earthy tones served as the eyeshadow base to deepen eye contours, focusing on eyeliner definition and red-toned contacts to keep the gaze translucent yet profound. The lips were finished with a glossy soft pink, keeping the makeup light and natural to suit the character's casual everyday vibe.

On set, the photographer guided me to casually sway the cuffs or make subtle hand gestures to capture that lazy ease—such as forming a diamond shape with hands before my chest or resting one hand gently against my hip. These poses effectively showcased the cinched waistline and the bowtie details. Since the background on location was slightly busy, effective fill-lighting became crucial; soft frontal key light minimized background distractions, firmly locking the visual focus onto the subject while making the purple hair color exhibit a dreamy gradient under the light for these Convention photos.

Overall, what this set aims to convey is an authentic sense of wandering through the street corners of New Eridu in Zenless Zone Zero, without overly lavish filters or forced, stiff poses. Once the makeup, wig, and costume are all set and you stand before the lens—feeling the breeze through the elf ears—you effortlessly slip into the character's easygoing nature, capturing the most organic state of Casual cosplay. Cosplaying outfits like this always makes me appreciate the craftsmanship of the prop makers and tailors; those rigid black geometric leather pieces truly test structural garment support. Patiently fine-tuning belt tightness and sleeve pleats to bring the entire look into its best state on camera was an exceptionally fun part of the creative journey.
