[Shimakaze cosplay] The nimble Aircraft Carrier Girl on the beach in Kantai Collection

To restore the nimble temperament of Shimakaze, the focus of this shoot was on capturing the summer atmosphere. Against the backdrop of the beach, I tried to embody her speed and agility—"as fast as Shimakaze"—through different poses and subtle facial expressions. In front of the lens, I not only demanded accuracy in the costume but also emphasized the lightness in the character's personality. To achieve the best image texture, we used a Sony mirrorless camera, utilizing its excellent autofocus performance to capture the delicate hair texture of the wig and every detail on the uniform. This cosplay was also in response to the current 2026 renaissance project, hoping to bring some surprises to players who love Kantai Collection. From the tailoring details of the uniform to the precise matching of props, every step strived for the highest level of restoration. During the shooting, the cooperation with the photography team was very tacit, perfectly presenting the fresh aura of the Aircraft Carrier Girl under the summer sun. The tone of the whole set of photos is bright and textured, perfectly fitting the summer theme. We were also very particular about the use of light and shadow, aiming to create a fresh and transparent visual effect. I hope that through this set of photos, I can take everyone into this world full of summer atmosphere, allowing you to feel the unique charm of the character, and I also hope that this work can bring some visual enjoyment to fellow fans.
