[Changfeng Cosplay] Azur Lane Headscarf Folded into Cat Ears, Presenting Fresh Tea Prepared for You

To restore Changfeng's official illustration style, I made quite a few detailed adjustments, especially to the hairstyle and accessories. The touch of matcha green accent on the headpiece and the texture of the pure white headscarf were crucial; I deliberately put thought into the folding method of the headscarf to make it present a playful arc similar to cat ears. The straight long black hair with blunt bangs paired with red colored contact lenses allowed this combination to maintain that cool yet approachable feel from the illustration even under the harsh lights of the convention venue. The overall makeup skipped heavy contouring, remaining sheer and light instead, which better highlights the character's innocence and agility.

The material sources for these recent shoots are all from the convention photos of the past few days. Regarding the costume, this wide-sleeved Hanfu-element fashion pieced together with mint green and white features a fabric with subtle bamboo leaf patterns, which casts a slight reflection under the photographer's flash, beautifully showcasing the silk texture. During the actual shoot, these wide sleeves easily encountered air resistance when moving, so certain dynamic poses required multiple attempts to capture the moment when the sleeves fluttered naturally. For example, the single-leg standing posture in Figure 3 not only required maintaining balance but also simultaneously balancing the angle of the fan in my hand.

For prop preparation, I specially searched for a tea set that matches the overall color palette. As shown in the picture, that set of teal-green Ru ware porcelain tea set is indeed extremely exquisite; its warm, jade-like glaze texture forms a wonderful resonance with the light green on the costume. In the tea-tasting photo, we set up a low wooden tea table and a beige rug. Although we were on the concrete floor of the convention venue, the use of scenery and small props truly succeeded in instantly creating a relatively quiet oasis of rest away from the hustle and bustle. Additionally, the round fan features floral patterns and water-drop tassels, highly consistent with the character's ethereal outfit style.

This photoshoot severely tested the coordination between the photographer and the model; special thanks to the photographer, Qingjue-laoshi. The lighting at the convention venue was quite chaotic, with rows of exhibition hall ceiling lights overhead, but Qingjue-laoshi utilized strong fill light and rim lighting, coupled with starry particles effects added in post-processing, giving the character's edges a natural glowing contour. This sparkler-like light effect adorning the edges of the frame added a touch of dreamy high-key illumination typically found only in 2D official illustrations to the originally realistic convention photos, perfectly making up for the shortcoming of the outdoor exhibition hall background being overly empty.

Running around the busy convention venue, properly putting on this oversized costume and water sleeves while keeping them flat and smooth was indeed a test of physical endurance, especially in an environment filled with crowds and various interactions, where I also had to manage small items like the tea set and fan. However, being able to restore that gentle 'Mom Changfeng' image in my heart in front of the lens made all the preparation work worthwhile. This lightweight green palette yields excellent color feedback under the lens; especially against the contrast of white lighting and dark backgrounds, the light green and white of the costume itself appear even brighter, crisper, and absolutely packed with an ethereal outfit charm.
