The neon lights of the arcade and pink twin-tails combine to set the base tone for this finished Shimoe Koharu cosplay photoset. This time, I deliberately avoided conventional outdoor locations or pure studio shoots, choosing instead to step into a cyberpunk style arcade, wanting to bring these photos closer to the character's casual yet slightly rebellious everyday atmosphere.

Let's first talk about the makeup and styling details. For the wig this time, I selected a light pink shade, intentionally styling it with fluffy, slightly messy airy bangs and twin-tails, which look exceptionally translucent under the reflection of neon lights. A lot of thought went into the headpieces; the black feather hair accessories were given a highly three-dimensional cut, which, paired with the pink halo on top of her head, is incredibly eye-catching. For clothing, I chose a relatively loose black sailor-style jacket with a collar border of white base and pink lines, layered over a minimalist white camisole inside to reveal the shoulder and neck lines, plus a black choker on the neck. This slightly lazy and casual outfit conversely accentuates the character's unique temperament. The purple pleated skirt on the lower body paired with white over-the-knee socks creates an overall color coordination that is highly harmonious under the enhancement of blue and pink lights, and the wings portion also serves as the perfect finishing touch.

Next, let's talk about the environmental interaction during the shoot. The lighting in the arcade is truly complex, so to avoid chaotic reflections, the photographer specifically sought out several high-yield corners. For instance, in front of an arcade screen, using the machine's luminous buttons and screen as the foreground combined with pink-purple ambient light creates a blurry yet dreamy visual texture. In post-processing, some blurred halos from the neon bulbs were intentionally retained to make the entire photo look more "electronic." In terms of action guidance and expression control, I didn't deliberately strike stiff poses; I simply simulated the natural state of playing arcade games with friends, like touching a cheek with a fingertip, playfully gesturing at the camera, or even doing a half-body salute in front of the arcade cabinet, capturing that lively yet slightly tsundere agility.

In this arcade photography session, the shots I am most satisfied with are actually the close-ups under blue lighting. That group of photos used a translucent glowing glass prop as the foreground, casting a powerful cool blue light onto my face and clothing, instantly pushing the atmosphere to the absolute max. Since this kind of lighting washes out makeup, I specifically emphasized the contours of the eyes, wore light-colored contact lenses, and paired them with pink-peach eyeshadow and lip makeup, making the gaze appear deeper and softer. The overall photography style follows a high-contrast neon path, yet the character's face still maintains a translucent and clear quality.

Although the early setups and lighting adjustments took quite some time, the final results perfectly matched my imagination of the character's relaxed daily state outside the game world. Being able to immesively experience another side of the character and record it through light and shadow this time brings a great sense of achievement. The moment the shoot wrapped up, I felt as if I had truly unwound inside this electronic maze.
