[Misaki cosplay] Blue Archive Ryuge Kisaki Cheongsam cosplay White Studio Shooting

This was a cheongsam-themed Mutual benefit photoshoot scheduled with a photographer, and also my attempt at cosplaying the character Misaki. For this studio portrait, we chose a pure white studio. The overall style is clean and crisp, primarily aiming to highlight the character's aura and costume details.

When taking on this character's styling, I first noticed the deep blue long hair paired with stylish buns, along with that crescent-shaped metal hairpiece, giving the overall silhouette a strong impact. As for the costume, this dark navy modified cheongsam has very special fabric featuring a subtle jacquard texture—it isn't a shiny satin, but leans toward a composed matte tone. The intricate gold dragon embroidery on the chest and sides is extremely refined. Under studio lighting, the contrast between gold threads and fabric texture is striking, adding a touch of grandeur and commanding presence to the overall look.

For props, we paired two larger pieces this time. One is a black hard-shell briefcase with silver edging and locks, giving off an agent or syndicate heiress vibe when carried. The other is a long rifle prop with a black and red color scheme, balanced in weight and perfect for posing. Pairing these somewhat aggressive props gives the character an even more powerful aura.

The shooting process was actually quite demanding in terms of posing. Since the costume features a high-slit design paired with black safety shorts, black stockings, and high heels, it creates smooth leg lines. The advantage of a white studio is its even lighting without leaving messy shadows on the face, which tests how clean the makeup and foundation are. The photographer patiently guided me through standing and sitting posture adjustments—such as holding the briefcase with one hand, raising the rifle with one hand, or extending my legs while sitting on a cylindrical pedestal—aiming to capture moments that feel both elegant and subtly dangerous.

I must mention the pairing of black stockings and high heels in Black stockings photography. The subtle sheen of the stockings presents a refined texture under studio lighting highlights. Switching to flats or going barefoot on the cylindrical platform offers a completely different vibe—appearing more casual and languid. However, to maintain the specific high-heel aesthetic, we stuck to wearing heels for most standing poses to replicate the character's body proportions.

When shooting full-body shots, we had to pay close attention to the positioning angles of the briefcase and rifle props, making sure they didn't obscure the golden embroidery pattern on the costume. For half-body or seated poses, we could showcase facial expressions and hair accessory details much more closely. The entire shoot lasted several hours, during which we swapped styling variations a few times—such as comparing shoes-on versus barefoot—and the results all turned out great.

As a cosplayer who loves tinkering with props and costumes, finding a photographer with great chemistry and solid lighting mastery is truly rare. Though a white studio seems simple, it actually demands much higher lighting technique. The texture of this set matches my initial expectations for the character very well, and I hope everyone seeing the final photos can feel that confident, composed elegance of the character.
