[Makima Cosplay] Post-Performance Surprise, Broadcasting the Control Devil's Daily Life

Right after getting off stage, I put on the Makima wig directly—this convention itinerary was just full of unexpected turns. In the morning I was gearing up backstage at the wings, and by the afternoon I was already wearing this signature bright red long hair outside the hall. Since I was already here and my makeup was done anyway, it felt like I'd leave with regrets if I didn't pull off this character.

For this Makima look, I didn't deliberately prepare anything too complicated, focusing mainly on a candid feel. I put a lot of effort into styling the red wig, especially making the bangs look natural without being too heavy, which would otherwise block the cold glance in her eyes. Eye makeup intentionally featured slightly winged eyeliner, paired with a subtle facial makeup base to highlight her intelligent temperament. The most eye-catching touch was actually that question mark floating above my head; securing it naturally required plenty of hidden structural support behind it, but the final outcome significantly boosted my presence, adding a hint of playfulness to the entire ensemble.

During shooting, I wore the classic white shirt and black tie combination. Photo 1 was shot under natural sunlight outside the exhibition hall; this lighting tested makeup durability severely, but luckily the foundation adhered well. Such simple and sharp attire easily catches eyes as long as hair and makeup are on point. Spontaneously deciding on this character this afternoon meant no custom photoshoot venue; instead, random streets surrounding the hall produced a genuine sense of everyday misplacement, as if the Control Devil from Chainsaw Man were truly strolling around during convention breaks.

However, today's real highlight was the Anime convention stage play—namely, the \"Dancer of Wind and Cloud\" look in Photo 2 and Photo 3. Putting on this costume in the morning, I could barely recognize myself under layers of intricate accessories and heavy metallic necklaces. The red-and-black outerwear paired with abundant silver jewelry, bells, and striking red irises maximized the exotic style. For this stage performance, I started wrestling with hair and makeup after 5:00 AM; contact lenses made my eyes feel dry, but stepping onto the stage made every effort feel worthwhile. Though, sigh, resting my eyes for a bit—I hope there won't be stage pyrotechnics going off next time! I failed to execute one transition movement smoothly today on stage, and that unhandled awkwardness made me want to vanish on the spot, but it counts as valuable experience accumulated.

Convention experience is all about constantly switching your state. Being this dancer in the morning and turning into Makima in the afternoon—jumping back and forth between completely different characters—is truly a pleasure unique to conventions. My itinerary isn't over tomorrow; I'll transfer to ChinaJoy and have already decided to cosplay Exusiai! Because the stage play and today's convention schedule were tight, Exusiai's armor gear underwent final debugging only yesterday, so tomorrow morning will likely start early with putting on the armor again. Although tiring, wearing mecha armor into the exhibition hall brings a sense of pride and satisfaction hard to substitute.

Speaking of which, I've always felt that the charm of cosplay lies in this cross-dimensional experience. Being the Control Devil from Chainsaw Man today, and a mobile suit from the Gundam world tomorrow. Although putting on every costume is a hassle—wigs, accessories, heavy shoes, leaving my whole body aching after every event—seeing the character I crafted in final photos makes everything feel worthwhile. This morning I was worried about stage mishaps during competition, but thankfully overall stage effects turned out great, except for that minor mistake. I hope Exusiai tomorrow goes smoothly without armor suddenly falling apart!
