Official Reze cosplay photos from Day 2 of Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo are finally sorted after wrapping up my trip to Guangzhou. Choosing an outdoor riverside location, standing under the steel truss bridge holding a daisy at that moment truly brought a magical feeling of stepping through the dimensional wall and lingering briefly in another world.

Let's talk about the overall styling first. To accurately portray the character's iconic traits, I chose purple-black short hair with slightly flipped ends. This layered silhouette flatters the face while keeping the look lively rather than heavy. Eye makeup was a top priority—I wore yellow-green contact lenses paired with earth-tone eyeshadow blending around the eyes to convey that peculiar gaze mixed with sharpness and aloofness. The base makeup aimed for clean, pale skin to highlight facial contours and create a sharp contrast against dark hair.

For the outfit, I picked a black-and-white ensemble. The inner layer was a white stand-collar short-sleeved blouse with delicate lace trim and a black ribbon bow tied at the neck—a classic, school-style design element. The outer layer was a sharply tailored black sleeveless pinafore dress that elongated the waistline while maintaining a slim fit. The soul of this look was the black leather choker with a metal ring around the neck, instantly filling the outfit with rebellious and sharp charisma. During the shoot, I paid close attention to keeping the ribbon and choker aligned. The daisy prop in hand was another crucial detail: pure white petals and a yellow core added bright color accents to soften the coldness of the black-and-white outfit, conveying the character's subtle, hard-to-detect tenderness.

Special thanks to photographer NightDiva for capturing these refined shots. Despite Guangzhou's sultry, humid weather that day, shooting outdoors by the river under the bridge worked wonderfully. The iconic red bridge piers and crisscrossing steel structures provided a strong industrial backdrop paired with wide water surfaces to maximize atmospheric mood. We tried various compositions—one shot through green mesh fencing used foreground obstruction to create a hazy underwater illusion, while others along stone railings used perspective leads to emphasize character-environment interaction.

As a travel log for July 18, 2026, Day 2 of Firefly ACG Expo, these Convention photos record my journey waking up at 5:30 AM to faithfully recreate the character under scorching heat. While many cosplayers prefer studio setups during conventions, I feel bringing a character into real city streets and riversides makes them feel truly alive. Though stares from passersby were occasionally nerve-wracking, locking into the persona and focusing on facial expressions and hand poses made the immersive feeling incredibly satisfying.

Looking back at these raw shots, the overall lighting remains soft, with natural late-afternoon light outlining clean edges. I avoided heavy post-processing to preserve natural skin texture and ambient environmental light, hoping everyone viewing this set can sense her complex, captivating nature. Sincere cosplay goes beyond putting on clothes—it's a cherished journey of discovering and feeling a character's unique essence. These riverside Reze cosplay photos serve as my sweet memory for Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo in July 2026, looking forward to presenting more dedicated character works in the future!
