Putting on this gear of Marisa Kirisame, I instantly feel like my magic power is about to overflow. Everyone jokes that I look like a 'baka', so I simply embraced this 'baka temperament' completely and fully integrated into the character. For this black and white maid-style Marisa shoot, the makeup utilized a translucent base paired with golden-amber colored lenses, striving to restore the agile yet slightly cunning gaze of the Gensokyo magician. The large golden wavy long curly wig took quite a lot of effort to style; I specially braided the iconic slender braid and adorned it with a small white bowknot. The white ruffled apron on the chest and the black vest with buttons, coordinated with the large black hat with a white lining and ribbons on top of the head, allow the overall styling to retain the character's own personality while keeping the good-natured look of a maid.

The location shoot actually had quite a few minor interludes. The long-handled broom prop in hand was indeed easy to 'accidentally injure' surrounding pedestrians and photography enthusiasts at the crowded convention venue. Thanks to the patient guidance on movements and positioning from my accompanying photography partner behind the lens, these few natural and vivid frames were captured. For the post-processing of image 4, I specially superimposed a circular magic circle and flickering golden light dust via special effects, giving the frame more of that fantastical atmosphere when an 'ordinary magician' casts powerful magic.

Marisa's carefree yet persistent and fanatical trait toward magic always leaves me full of motivation when portraying her. Doing a good job in cosplay is not just about putting on the costume of the corresponding character, but moreover about using expressions, body language, and props to get closer to the character's soul. In this group of photos, I also worked hard to present an image of an ordinary magician who loves collecting all kinds of magic books and diligently studies the use of magic.
