The sea breeze is gentle, Phoebe Chubi—when I received this set of photos, this phrase immediately popped into my mind. Actually, recently I've swiped through many AI-generated videos of little Phoebe online, and that agile yet slightly playful look is indeed very lovable, so this time I decided to realistically restore this look, counting as fulfilling my wish to "cloud-raise" a little Phoebe.
Let's first talk about the detail restoration of this outfit. The most eye-catching part is definitely the large white wide-brimmed hat on my head. The small blue cross ornament on the hat is truly the crowning touch. Paired with this fluffy light golden long curly hair, it visually offers a very lightweight vacation vibe. When wearing it, you have to pay special attention to the fit between the hat brim and the wig; it shouldn't be pressed rigidly, and the curly arc of the hair strands must be naturally revealed to maintain that wind-blown fluffiness.
The costume design selects many elements, but the overall look is not cluttered. The lower body features a crisp black skirt with white stripes, with white lace trim revealed at the hemline. Paired with opaque white tights, the overall view looking down appears extremely clean and refreshing, making for a beautiful white tights cosplay presentation. The upper body is a white puff-sleeve shirt; the dark bowtie at the neckline paired with two bright blue long ribbons just happens to form a great color echo with the blue cross on the hat, making the overall blue, white, and black color scheme look highly layered. To break the monotony of an all-white top, I also specially wore dark short gloves, letting the hands to the arms have a small contrasting color accent.
The setup of the shooting scene was also the focus this time. We specially chose a white European-style carved sofa chair with exquisite classic floral embroidery, and the beige soft upholstery on the back provided great support for the character. The background was arranged with a large number of light blue artificial flower bouquets and plants, with the silhouette of white Roman columns faintly visible. Combined with the royal blue glossy wrinkled fabric spread at the bottom, the entire scene looked exactly like a seaside garden terrace.
Shooting in such an exquisitely decorated studio, the biggest test of mindset is the on-site scheduling. Many friends think that cosplay is just putting on clothes and pressing the shutter, but actually, before officially starting to shoot, adjusting the wig, the symmetry of the costume neckline, and how to pin the hat securely so it doesn't slide off takes up quite a bit of time. During the shoot, the photographer's treatment of light was very particular; the main light source cast a relatively soft diffused light, capturing the texture of the skin tone and white clothing very cleanly and translucently through this careful cosplay photography session.
In terms of presenting the posture, I intentionally refrained from striking poses with large movements. In the first picture, naturally straightening my right leg, tilting my head slightly, and gently resting my hand on the hat brim actually better restores Phoebe's innocent, spontaneous, and slightly crafty unique charm. The second picture conveys a more upright and well-behaved feeling, sitting sideways on the sofa with crossed legs, which, paired with an elegant sitting posture, pulled the atmospheric vibe into a more serene state.
Taking a good set of coser photos often isn't just about presenting one's own state; every step from the early aesthetic tone, makeup texture, prop pairing, to the photographer's skill in capturing dynamic moments cannot falter. This time, the final results turned out quite ideal, not only nailing the character's temperament but also integrating that gentle sense of the sea breeze into the scene. I hope these few photos can also transmit that relaxed and healing visual sensation.
