From the moment the look was finalized for this Wuthering Waves LAWSON Phoebe outfit, I knew I wanted an outdoor photoshoot in a Sunflower field bursting with summer vitality. The costume was the absolute centerpiece of the shoot. The collar of the blue-and-white sailor dress is deep navy with white border stripes, paired with a light-blue plaid tie, while the skirt features multi-tiered pleating where the outermost navy ruffle is trimmed with intricate lace. This design gives the skirt a gorgeous, sweeping flare when spinning. Anchored by the crisp blue-and-white palette alongside blonde hair, a blue hat, and tiny white floral hair ornaments, the entire color logic screams refreshing summer elegance. To balance overall proportions, I chose chunky white round-toe platform shoes paired with blue-bow ankle socks, making the exposed leg lines appear longer and more natural.

The location chosen was a lush, flourishing Sunflower field. While a flower field provides a stunning backdrop, shooting in one is genuinely challenging. The blooms were dense, often requiring me to navigate narrow dirt trails to find the right angles. To build a rich, immersive mood, I tried varied poses—crouching down with a cute hand gesture or lightly leaning into the blossoms—using a red-and-white gingham woven basket filled with white roses to create a delicate contrast against the golden sunflowers.

For makeup, I focused primarily on the eyes. Purple-pink contact lenses enlarged the pupils, while subtle aegyo-sal contouring combined with blonde straight bangs crafted a gentle, inviting gaze. Amidst the sunflowers, sunlight filtering through leaves cast dappled patterns of light and shade. The photographer utilized backlighting, creating a breathtaking golden rim light along the edges of my hair.

In natural outdoor cosplay photography, capturing fleeting moments of light is essential. Natural sunlight makes emotional expressions feel so much more relaxed and authentic. To nail the framing, I repeated almost every action over a dozen times—spinning, lifting the skirt, pointing into the distance, and balancing the distant wooden cabin against blurred foreground blossoms. Wearing a heavy three-tiered dress under the blazing sun was exhausting, but the resulting vibrant atmosphere was unmistakable. Pairing the collaboration costume with vivid sunflowers created a powerful visual pop that highlighted the character's fresh, energetic charm.

Before shooting, I studied the nuances of the LAWSON Phoebe design, aiming to balance her calm nature with playful charm in a realistic setting. In posing, I incorporated subtle interactive gestures, such as resting a forefinger on my chin while making direct eye contact with the camera, or stepping along the stone pathway to glance back over my shoulder. Because the flower field was rich in color saturation, I softened the contrast slightly in post-processing to preserve clean blue tones and let the outfit pop. Cloud cover shifted rapidly during the day; catching the backlit glow right when the clouds parted became the soul of this photoshoot.

Because the sunflowers grew taller than me, many angles required stepping onto soft soil. To keep my legs looking long, my shoes had substantial heels, turning crouching into a real physical workout. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the immersive process—the natural drape of fabric under sunlight and the gentle sway of long locks in the wind offer an authentic realism that no digital retouching can fake. This set serves as both a tribute to the character and a breakthrough in my own modeling expression, with every skirt adjustment and basket placement adding lasting vitality and depth to this Sunflower theme.
