[Ellen Joe cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Shark Maid: Street Wasteland Ultimate Weapon

This set of photos is my complete portrayal of Ellen Joe. Speaking of this Techwear maid outfit, it is genuinely packed with thoughtful design from head to toe. The top features black glossy leather patchwork, combined with metal corset buckles that cinch the waist neatly. The skirt has classic black-and-white ruffles, paired with a silver-and-black mechanical collar around the neck, seamlessly sewing together two completely contrasting vibes: cold aloofness and sweetness. Most distinctive is the serrated gray bracer on the wrist; while it looks a bit exaggerated, putting it on instantly felt like my combat power jumped several tiers.

And that long, massive blade—to be honest, it is seriously heavy. To achieve the glowing red-eye effect, an internal LED light set was installed inside the prop. My first reaction upon receiving it on set was how intense its imposing presence looked in dim lighting. During the shoot, I essentially handled it like a long, heavy staff or firearm the entire time. Balancing it across my shoulder to show effortless nonchalance while aligning it with body lines during crouching or leaning poses was a genuine test of arm strength. I could imagine the photographer's shutter constantly tracking my movements, afraid of missing a single badass candid capture.

The venue setup this time had an authentic cyberpunk and street graffiti vibe. Stacks of vintage CRT televisions lined the wall, some with colorful static distortion patterns on screen, paired with dust-covered vinyl stereo speakers and bright orange traffic cones scattered around. The photographer layered the atmospheric haze heavily, creating an overall moody blue-green tone, but the moment you faced the light source, the sharp texture of a cool-headed maid immediately emerged. Transparent ice crystal effects were added in front of the lens in several shots, lending the frame a distinct ACG-style dimension.

There was plenty of fun during the shoot. For example, the lollipop prop was just a casual item grabbed for fun, yet holding it in my mouth unexpectedly gave tangible form to the character's "lazy yet dangerous" persona. Snapping photos holding the lollipop was actually harder than simply looking cool with the big blade—if your eyes don't carry that touch of arrogance, it easily looks like you're just eating candy rather than exuding swagger.

Speaking of the stockings and footwear, semi-sheer black stockings combined with criss-cross strappy high heels truly flatter the leg lines in this Black tights outfit. The photographer understood this well; several shots semi-seated on vintage TVs or close-ups stepping on traffic cones showcased that sleek, elongated silhouette to perfection. Honestly, posing amidst industrial scrap in this gear was physically demanding, as every step required care to avoid snagging the dress ruffles on props or slipping.

When the final images came out, I especially loved the moments when light hit the blade edge and the glowing red eye; that cold, sharp sheen matched my vision for this character completely. This creative process wasn't just about putting on an outfit, but achieving a complete physical and mental fusion with the set and props.
