I finally received these convention photos from the 5.3 Hefei Dimension Door convention, and I truly love this set of pictures.

To prepare for PA-15's Champagne Phantom Thief look this time, I started preparing my costume and props way in advance. The design of this outfit really tests craftsmanship—the large area of black patent leather material creates stunning highlights under the strong spotlights at the top of the hall, and paired with the asymmetrical black mesh crossover straps on the chest, the visual depth is instantly maxed out.

The hair is a very light ice blue shade. To prevent it from looking frizzy under the chaotic lighting of an anime convention, I set and styled it multiple times. The huge hair strands on both sides and the ahoge on top are definitely the soul of the look; they not only add to the character's lively feel, but also make the black-white-blue color balance much more harmonious. To match this styling, I selected long solid black patent leather gloves, pointed high heels with a red accent on the soles, and black pantyhose as part of this Black tights outfit, which nicely elongated my body lines in both standing and sitting poses.

Shooting in a large convention environment is actually quite challenging. The ambient lighting was complex, but photographer Seven-Nine (Phx@夕) was amazing at capturing light and shadow, using the lights at the top of the hall to create a cold, crisp, and mysterious atmosphere. While posing, I had to ensure the wig stayed neat, especially in those looking-back shots where the dynamic movement of the fluttering wig was captured so naturally.

This time I cosplayed PA-15 from Girls' Frontline, who possesses a cool, elegant, and glamorous aura. Paired with the champagne bottle prop in hand, it fit the "Champagne Phantom Thief" concept perfectly. During the shoot, the photographer guided me through many angles—whether standing on the white circular pedestal with a proud stance, sitting down holding the bottle, or confronting the camera with a glance back, giving me plenty of creative space. The black reflections on the outfit, the texture of the sheer stockings, and the gold patterns on the bottle were captured perfectly under the alternating warm yellow and cold white light sources at the convention.

I feel the most captivating part of anime convention cosplay lies in breaking the boundaries of reality in an instant and fully immersing oneself in the character's world. The moment you put on this patent leather outfit, you can't help but straighten your posture, and your eyes turn sharp. It's not just wearing a costume; it's experiencing the character's effortless elegance and smooth cunningness. Every time the shoot ends and I take off those long gloves, I feel a lingering urge for more.

The pure white base of the exhibition platform was quite light-reflective, but it happened to make the black costume stand out even more. Combined with the industrial, grand exhibition hall and the blurred attendees in the background, a feeling of interdimensional collision emerged naturally. Whether kneeling on one knee or sitting sideways with extended legs, I hoped to showcase as much of the Champagne Phantom Thief's wild yet mysterious temperament as possible.
