Today's outdoor shoot was visually centered around a Standard swimsuit outfit. Choosing a two-piece black swimsuit paired with a semi-sheer black gossamer cover-up was mainly intended to create a light, breathable aesthetic without feeling overly revealing. The hem and cuffs feature white floral patterns and gold piping, and combined with the silver butterfly brooch at the chest, the layered details truly come alive. For head accessories, I chose metallic hair ornaments shaped like a crescent moon and rings, which, along with the long blue hair and the thin-framed round sunglasses resting on my forehead, made the entire look instantly recognizable.
The first set of photos was taken around the garden bench area. The lighting here was fantastic—sunlight filtered through the tree leaves, casting lovely dappled light onto the translucent gauze. Sitting on the wooden bench, I tried several different poses. The crossed-leg sitting pose in photo two effectively elongates leg proportions, while the flip-flops add a relaxed resort feel to the scene. When posing, it was important to keep the back straight while relaxing the shoulders to ensure smooth body contours. Since black fabric easily absorbs light on camera, exposure compensation was slightly raised during shooting to preserve shadow details and keep the natural skin texture intact.
The second set moved to the waterside. The stream was crystal clear, so I took off my shoes and stepped in. The black swimsuit created a striking contrast against the water's reflection and shimmering waves. I carried a blue paper parasol whose patterns complemented the hues of the water. Wading through the shallows made the sheer hemline float naturally—a flowy dynamic that is very difficult to replicate in static posing. A quick reminder for outdoor shooting: safety comes first near water, and make sure to step around moss-covered rocks. Poses here mainly focused on looking back over the shoulder and strolling with the parasol, using the umbrella as a foreground element or framing device to create a captivating blend of classic and modern aesthetics. The Lady President's authoritative aura needs to be channeled through the eyes; even in casual swimwear, focused gaze and poised posture cannot be compromised, reflecting an inner sense of power.
The third set was all about motion captures along the paved pathway. The flagstone path, lush green foliage on both sides, and the blue parasol made for a rich color palette. When walking, controlling the swing of the skirt was crucial. The photographer used continuous shooting, so maintaining a steady pace and keeping eyes fixed forward made it effortless to capture natural walking moments. The morning sun rendered skin texture beautifully, but as the afternoon light grew harsher, we had to rely more on tree shade or the parasol to diffuse the light for soft transitions.
Overall, while this swimsuit outfit is relatively minimalist, styling it with the sheer robe, sunglasses, parasol, and headpiece shaped the vibe toward a relaxed yet slightly fantastical resort aesthetic. Outdoor photography hinges on catching natural light and using the surroundings to build an atmosphere. Today's shoot went very smoothly with immense help from the natural lighting, and the resulting pictures are deeply satisfying. I personally love this set and look forward to trying out more varied shooting styles next time.
