[Nahida Cosplay] Being a Quiet Cute Girl in Sumeru's Green Garden

This shoot was truly a super healing experience. Ever since deciding to cosplay Nahida, I kept pondering how to express that pure, ethereal, elf-like temperament. During makeup, I specially adjusted the contact lens color to make my gaze look softer and more ethereal. The silver-white to green gradient wig had its flow adjusted strand by strand by hand; combined with the pointed ear styling, it really felt like instantly being transported into the Sumeru rainforest. We spent a long time scrutinizing costume details: the green and white patchwork fabric featured delicate plant textures. While the golden metallic accessories looked lightweight, adjusting their balance when wearing them required great care—especially the headpiece, which had to stay secure without crushing the fluffy volume of the hairstyle. The set decoration at the studio on shooting day was exceptionally thoughtful. The artificial lawn on the ground, white stone pillars, and oversized paper flowers created a mini-garden atmosphere. In the first photo, curling my legs while sitting on the pillar was meant to portray the clever innocence of a newborn elf; in the second photo, sitting casually on the floor with my hand touching my chin was actually my most relaxed state, as that height allowed me to naturally interact with the surrounding greenery and flowers. The lighting was crystal clear without intentionally creating exaggerated shadows, using soft light to clearly showcase both costume texture and hair layering. When preparing for this cosplay, I also referenced the character's habituated movements in Genshin Impact—such as tilting her head to think or gently touching leaves—so I tried my best to weave these small gestures into the frame rather than keeping poses stiff. The studio environment at @香澄摄影 was spacious, providing ample room for set building and camera placement adjustments. Honestly, when cosplaying fresh and airy characters, the biggest fear is heavy makeup or unnatural expressions, so I used only faint blush and lip color, placing key emphasis on the brightness of the eye makeup. In post-processing, we didn't add heavy filters either, preserving the lawn's green and the costume's authentic colors, merely brightening the catchlight in the eyes slightly. The entire shoot felt like spending an afternoon as a quiet cute girl in a peaceful little garden—no tedious procedures, just chatting while capturing every natural moment. I truly love the atmosphere of this set—lush green with a touch of dreamy tenderness. I hope you can feel that pure sense of tranquility when viewing these photos. Finally, sharing a quick tip: when shooting sitting poses like this, leg line extension is super important. Be sure to maintain natural bends at knees and ankles, or it easily looks stiff.
