I shot a set of Ganyu photos for Genshin Impact at the convention venue, taking a few casual snaps in the exhibition hall using a Sony A7C2 paired with a 35mm lens for a pure Sony straight out of camera look. Because the lighting was quite messy, the indoor overhead matrix lights and floor reflections made the frame look a bit cool-toned. In post-processing, I slightly lowered the color temperature to highlight the blue-and-white clothing texture. The details of the heels and leg rings easily got messy while walking, so I repeatedly adjusted their positions several times before the shoot. When holding up the paper umbrella, one needs to pay attention to the light-transmitting effect, otherwise the umbrella surface will look dead white. The skirt of this outfit has a front-and-back double-layered design. When posing, you can make more use of the extension of the leg lines to keep the frame's center of gravity more stable. The one-legged standing posture in the fourth photo actually heavily tests balance, but fortunately, the heels were stable enough. The concrete floor of the convention venue and the blurred display racks in the background actually look quite cool; as long as the shutter speed is fast enough, capturing casual postures through candid snaps will be much more vivid than posed shots. Navigating back and forth in the exhibition hall with a 35mm prime lens is quite convenient. The wide end can bring in some geometric lines from the ceiling, and slightly vignetting in post-production can highlight the central figure. These few shots are moments I am relatively satisfied with in my journey of convention photography. I hope you enjoy this Cosplay photo sharing!
