Having wrapped up this Yoshika Miyako cosplay shoot yesterday, I sorted through the raw photos in my free time, and the overall atmosphere achieved exactly what we had envisioned.

The costume is packed with fine details: the black leather hat is sturdy and structured, and with the five-pointed star on top, it perfectly captures the essence of the character design. The red top features intricate geometric embroidery along the collar and cuffs in red, white, and black, complemented by blue Chinese frog buttons on the chest. This distinctively Chinese-style attire is the centerpiece of the entire look—it carries significant physical weight, requiring constant posture mindfulness during shooting to prevent unsightly creasing.

The deep blue long wavy hair was another primary focal point of the styling. To align with the character's Zombie girl undead theme, I specifically chose an ultra-pale, porcelain base makeup paired with light-colored, large-diameter contacts, giving my gaze an ethereal and hollow quality. Combined with deep red lip gloss, it created an eerie yet playful charm.

During the shoot, the red-lettered Chinese talisman held in my hand served as the core prop. The talisman is truly the soul of this character; shifting angles and actions created completely different vibes. For instance, using the Chinese talisman to obscure half of my face while revealing only a single eye maximized the sense of mystery; biting it in my mouth while making a peace sign instantly felt lively and spirited.

The shoot location was set in a room decorated with Chinese paintings and wooden bookshelves. I intentionally arranged artificial spiderwebs across the background, which, paired with dim side-lighting, instantly established a chilling, occult atmosphere. The first shot featuring a dramatic torso twist looking back, with a hand reaching toward the lens, formed a tense and dynamic composition between body curves and the collarline—making it my personal favorite. The subsequent two photos used the talisman as an accent to showcase the character's captivating contrast between uncanny creepiness and playful mischief.

Dressing in the entire outfit and handling props went smoothly throughout the session. While the wig wasn't tousled by wind, maintaining clean hair strands required subtle post-processing touch-ups. Though the process was somewhat tiring, seeing the final outcome of this Dark style cosplay made all the hard work completely worthwhile.
