[Tang Wutong cosplay] An encounter with the Sea God's Fate by the Sea God Lake of The Unrivaled Tang Sect

This shoot of "Sea God's Fate" by the Sea God Lake was truly dreamlike. To restore Tang Wutong's agile temperament, I put a lot of consideration into the colors of the costume, especially that pair of massive wings. To make the wings present a dreamlike color-changing effect under different lights and shadows, we specially selected materials with an extremely high refractive index. The variation of light and shadow at the shooting site was incredibly rich, nicely complementing the main blue tone. In terms of makeup and styling, I pursued a balance between an "ethereal aura" and a "sense of power." As a character, Tang Wutong must not only have a gentle side but also exude the majesty belonging to a divine status. The makeup features a clear texture paired with a gradient hair color effect, striving to capture the character's demeanor in every close-up shot. The overall composition and artistic conception are also meant to fit the theme of "Sea God's Fate," hoping to bring the audience a visual experience as if they were personally inside Soul Land. In the handling of light and shadow, we paid special attention to the distribution of highlight points, ensuring that the blue-purple tones of the wings present a crystal-clear texture from different angles. To match Tang Wutong's identity in Soul Land, the cutting of the costume also integrates a large amount of streamlined design, giving every movement an elegant and flowing texture. Although the process was a bit hard, seeing the water-ripple-like flow of colors in the final photos made all the effort worthwhile.
