The stock photos from the ChinaJoy 2025 Expo floor are finally organized. This red and white look in a Japanese-style fantasy style, paired with huge plush animal ears and two plush ball props, yielded an overall effect even more vivid than expected.

First, let's talk about the preparation process of this costume. Since it features an off-the-shoulder design, it demands a lot from the collarbone and neck lines, making posture adjustment highly important. The inner layer of the outfit is white, and the outer red robe uses a subtle shimmer fabric material. In the complex environmental lighting of a convention, once the front fill-light hits, the golden jacquard patterns and stitched pearl beads produce a beautiful sheen. The turquoise flowers and braided cords at the waist are also highly detailed, neutralizing the intensity of the red-and-black palette and adding a touch of softness to the overall look. The animal ears kit serves as the visual centerpiece; I combined red feathers and white fluff for a top-and-bottom color block, which beautifully frames the facial contours. Complemented by a black floral veil and gold tassel ear-hangings on both sides, it creates a very lightweight dynamic feel when walking around.

For makeup, I deliberately chose a brighter, fair base makeup paired with high-saturation blue contact lenses. Embellished with red eyeshadow and a tear mole, the sharpness of my gaze is beautifully highlighted. The red and blue ambient lights and the chaotic crowd flow on the day of the convention actually gave the photographer an excellent creative space. During the snapshot capture, the photographer beautifully utilized a telephoto lens and a large aperture, melting the background crowd and ambient lights into round bokeh spots. This not only highlighted the main subject but also allowed the frame to preserve that crowded yet passionate live sensation of the convention floor.

During this shoot, handling the plush ball props was actually a bit harder than imagined. To maintain a natural, relaxed feel before the lens, I experimented with different hand postures. For instance, when cupping the plush balls in front of my chest, I had to control the engagement of my arms to avoid stiff shoulders, while holding a ball with one hand paired with a body tilt made the posture look playful and packed with tension. Comparing the final photos, everyone might notice that facing the camera directly offers more interactive fun, while turning sideways to gaze into the distance adds a touch of ethereal mood.

The exhibition floor was actually extremely noisy, and during the shoot, I had to adjust my facial expressions and posture in a very short time, which heavily tested my reaction speed. The fact that these few photos in the finished work display a relatively clean and pure demeanor is entirely thanks to the photographer's precise guidance within those few seconds of clicking the shutter. Although this look is adorned with many embellishments, it doesn't feel overly cumbersome; wearing it all day, though covered in accessories, left a manageable weight load. I hope this share can provide some lighting and outfit coordination ideas for friends who like this red and white look in a Japanese fantasy style cosplay shoot.
