I shot this Albedo cosplay at Zhongshan AS Comic Convention, putting a lot of thought into the prop preparation and outfit styling. The trickiest part of the whole getup was the Black Wings on both sides—the feathers were glued on layer by layer, making them very heavy and pulling on my shoulders through the internal harness. The White formal dress features a halter-neck, off-shoulder cut accented by golden chains across the chest and waist, multiple tiers of ruffles along the hem, and a high thigh-slit that truly tested my poise while walking. To capture the character's demeanor, I wore yellow contact lenses, a gradient purple long wig, and white horns on top.
Because the Anime convention hall was crowded, finding a clean, empty backdrop was challenging. The photographer leveraged the open hall space and cool lighting with slight low-angle framing to emphasize the streamlined silhouettes of the costume. Walking the venue in high heels with the high slit was exhausting, but I made sure to keep my posture upright whenever striking a pose. Several attendees recognized the character, and passersby drawn to the contrast between the Black Wings and the white gown stopped to ask for pictures. While wearing this full gear all day was physically demanding, taking off the heavy wings and relaxing at home made me feel the high fidelity and striking visual presence were completely worth it.
