[Alice Cosplay] GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE: A Pastel Pink Fairy Tale Fantasy

The character portrayed this time is Alice from GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, with the core of the entire aesthetic anchored in sweet, pastel-toned whimsical bunny-ear motifs. To faithfully embody that sugary ambiance from the original illustrations, I invested considerable thought into the garments and accessory styling beforehand. The white gown features a multi-tiered ruffled flounce construction, spliced across the bodice with expansive sheer illusion mesh, centered around a faceted crimson gemstone to break up visual monotony. To enhance overall layering, I accessorized with delicate white lace gloves and matching lace leg warmers; furthermore, the sheer White stockings were a central highlight of this look, which, paired with pastel pink garter straps, streamlined and flattered leg contours beautifully.

For the wig, I chose waist-length straight pastel pink tresses cut with blunt fringe bangs, crowned with a white lace headdress and flanked by plush, drooping white bunny ears pinned to either side. On the cosmetic side, the priority was an expansive wash of pink blush paired with tonal pink eyeshadow, harmonized with vivid crimson contact lenses to infuse the gaze with animated vibrancy. During makeup tests before shooting, I repeatedly refined the blending radius of the blush, ensuring it maintained that softly flushed anime glow even under intense studio strobes.

The studio set was thoughtfully curated: to align with the overarching pink palette, the backdrop featured white openwork carved screens and a lush floral wall dotted with pink and crimson roses. Coupled with a classic white wrought-iron chair draped in plush white faux-fur throws, the entire space radiated a fairytale charm. This series explored a variety of stances—such as crossing legs or sitting in three-quarter profile—both to showcase the flared volume of the ruffled hemline and to flatter leg silhouettes within the wider composition. Because the skirt is remarkably expansive, balancing on the chair was surprisingly strenuous, frequently demanding upper-arm support to stabilize my posture; capturing natural, unconstrained frames required holding poses for extended intervals while constantly fine-tuning camera angles to keep framing harmonious.

While studio lighting is inherently consistent, to accentuate the delicate lace weaves and tiered folds of the skirt, I coordinated with the photographer to deploy multiple fill lights casting from varied vectors. At times, to give the White stockings and bare skin a softer, velvety render, light positions were micro-adjusted continuously. Though physically taxing throughout, seeing the final selects retain pristine light gradation and razor-sharp textures made every ounce of preliminary preparation worthwhile. Bringing a flat 2D concept into a three-dimensional visual experience through sweet fantasy aesthetics granted me an even deeper connection to the character, making this a richly rewarding photoshoot.
