The shoot under the Yozakura was truly challenging. Since the site environment was complex and there was a pond nearby, setting up large-scale equipment wasn't feasible, so I decided to use just one AD200 with a GCA30. Although Lighting conditions were limited, this minimalist approach often better preserves the original atmosphere of the environment.
To restore the cold yet lively temperament of Jinhsi from Wuthering Waves, I kept thinking about how to balance light and shadow. During post-processing, I paid special attention to capturing the elusive shadows of the Cherry blossom. The haziness interwoven by light and shadow against a dark background was the core requirement of this Yozakura shoot. I tried to outline a sense of fragility belonging to snowfields and flower seas within the subtle changes of light and shadow.
The final effect of each photo is actually a constant weighing of light, shadow, and composition. In the complex night, how to accurately capture every corner of Jinhsi's clothing and every detail of her expression is something we need to deliberate repeatedly. This process of searching for beauty under limitations is also one of the cosplay creative steps I enjoy the most; every Lighting adjustment is a dialogue with the environment.
