Bilibili World is just around the corner, but here I am tossing and turning in bed with zero sleepiness. I might as well get up, organize these freshly released photos from the cosplay photoshoot, and chat with everyone about the preparation this time. Although I plan to catch up on sleep on the bus to the venue, my mind is completely filled with various details about this convention. My heart is racing; I am definitely a bit overexcited.

The cosplay photoshoot this time features this Nine-tailed fox cosplay look again. The costume was custom-made by @理想主义 Idealism, and I could feel their immense sincerity the moment I laid hands on it. The fabric selection is very meticulous; though the red, white, and blue color-blocking is classic, making it look premium rather than cheap requires truly exquisite craftsmanship. In particular, the cutout design on the shoulders and the golden patterns on the waist present a very delicate luster under the lighting. Special thanks also go to @萌A君 for the post-processing; while preserving the texture of the image, they brought out the fluffy tails and the atmosphere of the glowing orb during spellcasting perfectly, giving the entire image a powerful sense of fantasy instead of just a flat background.

Since I am going to a large-scale convention like Bilibili World, the equipment considerations had to be more practical. For this Nine-tailed fox cosplay look, we prepared a long, dark blue wig and huge animal ears to complete this animal ear outfit, especially those massive, fluffy white tails. They look incredibly gorgeous on camera, but actually wearing them is a significant physical challenge. You know, in a crowded convention venue like that, maintaining a high-energy state to shoot photos and interact is practically a dual test of strength and endurance.

So I actually really understand why many fellow hobbyists experience anxiety and insomnia the night before a convention for their photoshoots. In truth, this process of giving your all for what you love is very pure. Sometimes you really don't care whether you're tired or not; being able to see everyone raise their cameras at the con, or finding resonance because of a well-replicated look—that kind of happiness is irreplaceable.

Regarding the shoot, this cosplay photoshoot actually took a lot of time beforehand. Aside from adapting to the weight of the costume and the texture of the tails, the biggest difficulty lay in how to perfectly present the enchanting charm and confidence of the nine-tailed fox in front of the lens. To capture that turning-around-and-looking-back posture in the second image, we went through dozens of angles repeatedly, just to control the curve of the hair, the fluffiness of the tails, and the lines of the arm placement within a comfortable visual range. Because photos that lean toward being dynamic and containing magical elements actually demand quite a high level of physical control from the cosplayer.

Looking back at these photos now, I'm quite satisfied with the overall result. While I can't say it's a 100% replica of the ideal state in my mind, at least during this process, I tried my absolute best to cooperate with everything I could think of and do. Midway through the shoot, because the tails were too heavy to support, I almost tripped and fell, which can be counted as a fun anecdote during the photoshoot process.

Going back to the convention, Bilibili World is, after all, one of the top-tier major conventions domestically; everything from the exhibitor lineup to the venue layout is highly attractive. Large-scale conventions like this have exceptionally high requirements for makeup and styling, because a massive number of lenses will be pushed right in front of your face, and the details of the makeup or the edges of the hair cannot withstand intense scrutiny. I also hope everyone coming to the con can feel my dedication—it's not just about looking good, but also a form of respect for this ACG culture.

As for my plan to sleep on the bus, I think there's a high probability I'll pass out the second I get on. After all, walking around the con for an entire day, I probably won't even want to take a single extra step on the way back to the hotel. The pace of the convention is very fast; you might see thousands of people in a single day, and that enthusiasm when facing fresh faces definitely drains your energy quickly. But I still have to go; since I'm already prepared, I might as well fully enjoy this carnival belonging to the anime world.

Posting this set of photos today serves both to show everyone the final results of the cosplay photoshoot and as a small record for myself before setting off. If you think I look in good condition, you can come and meet up with me offline when you see me at the con. After all, conventions are all about this offline interaction and atmosphere. I hope the weather will be nice then, everyone can have fun, and I can maintain my good condition.

Alright, it's about time to close my eyes and try to sleep for a bit, otherwise I'll be incredibly drowsy by the time I get on the bus. Setting off for Bilibili World, packing up my Nine-tailed fox cosplay outfit, and getting ready to welcome this lively feast.
