[Jane Doe cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Bilibili World Event Photos: The Intimidation of a Gunpoint Perspective

We took quite a few Cosplay event photos at Bilibili World this time, and this Jane Doe look achieved a remarkably high level of completion. Starting with the attire, the wide white lapels on the top are quite rigid and require careful styling during wear to keep from collapsing. The black sections are crafted from leather materials with distinct reflections, so finding the right angle for catchlights in the eyes under the venue's intricate lighting was essential. The leg straps tended to pinch the skin after extensive walking, requiring conscious adjustments before each shot. The prop guns had great weight distribution, allowing for steady posing when held.

During shooting, we primarily leveraged the chaotic ambient ceiling lights, paired with the photographer's speedlight, to darken the background and make the subject pop. In terms of posing, I experimented with half-crouching while aiming down the lens, a three-quarter low-angle upward look, and a seated side profile. Close-up angles like these demand precise facial control to avoid looking stiff. With massive crowds on the convention floor, we picked relatively clean spots—such as leaning against booths or pillars—where blurring the background brought out superior depth.

For makeup, the focus was harmonizing the eyeshadow with the red contact lenses; the short black hair tipped with red highlights served as the crowning touch of this styling. Throughout the shoot, I was very satisfied with our control of lighting angles and how well my expressions matched the character. As a cosplayer, projecting Jane Doe's effortless, capable composure offline requires spending ample time getting familiar with costume mobility and pose boundaries. Equipping dual pistols made dynamic action poses very intuitive, especially the crouching stance, which carried immense intimidation. The lighting at Bilibili World sometimes skewed purple or blue, requiring minor color temperature corrections in post-production. Overall, it was a very smooth shoot; chasing shifting lights inside the venue took roughly two hours, and the final selects reflect the character's temperament wonderfully.
