A lot of thought was put into the details of this Cartethyia cosplay costume. The layering of the collision of three colors—black, white, and blue—is very distinct. The black base is covered with a white tunic featuring gold embroidery, and both sides of the waist feature cutout designs. The most eye-catching part is still that huge gradient cape extending from the waist to the back, transitioning from white to deep blue, with a pearlescent texture on the fabric, which, combined with silver and gold embroidery textures, creates a flowing visual effect under the illumination of light.

To match the fantasy attributes of the costume, elf ears are a must-wear, but fixing the ear cuffs is a technical task; they need to be hidden in the hair while adjusting the angle to ensure no exposure during the shoot. The white thorn-shaped headpiece on the forehead and the black leather choker on the neck are also keys to enhancing visual impact. There are also the white thorn accessories on the arms and legs; although good-looking, they easily snag the sheer gauze of the cape when striking poses, requiring constant adjustment of these tiny branches throughout the shooting process.

The outdoor location was chosen next to a staircase with white marble railings and European-style columns. The afternoon natural light is relatively soft, and I chose two different postures: sitting sideways and sitting straight. Sitting sideways better showcases the crossed-leg lines and the dynamic feel of the long cape dropping naturally. Sitting straight focuses more on the upper body's clothing details and prop display. To maximize the visual tension of the skirt hem and cape, the photographer instructed me to pull the ribbons tight when a breeze blew, letting the blue-and-white gradient fabric spread out in the air to form a large-area color block contrast.

Although the sandals on the feet feature a bit of metal chain decoration matching the overall style, the soles have a certain thickness, requiring extra care when walking on uneven outdoor stone steps to avoid stepping on the fabric of the front hem and causing a fall. When shooting such a styling that combines combat attributes with elegance, movements shouldn't be too stiff; hand movements should be relaxed as much as possible, using the lines of the wrists and shoulders to imply the presence of a weapon. Even without holding a physical sword, body language must convey that sharpness and firmness.

Although this costume looks extremely gorgeous, the wearing experience consumes quite a bit of physical energy, especially since the long cape tends to entangle when walking. However, after seeing the final photos, I am extremely satisfied with the reflection of light and shadow on the costume's material and the details of the elf ears. This set of photos captures the character's demeanor in a natural environment, which can be considered a complete realization of my own understanding of this styling.
