The Lantern Rite new outfits are finally out in photos! This was a Chinese-style photography themed shoot co-planned with my junior sister @一束阿束. Thank you all for waiting; let's dive straight into some behind-the-scenes insights from the studio.

First, let's talk about my own ensemble. The blue-and-black color scheme is exceptionally form-fitting, with semi-sheer black mesh paneling at the cuffs and shoulders, combined with a touch of golden star patterns and red rope tassels on the chest, making the overall look both ethereal and richly layered. The lower half features black shorts paired with metal-textured thigh rings, and these black strappy bow chunky heels bring plenty of tension during walks or poses. The wig is a pale blue-purple with excellent hair texture, and with the black-and-red dragon horns on one side and golden cloud-patterned flower hair ornaments, I'm personally quite satisfied with the accuracy to the original design. For the makeup, I slightly emphasized the eyeliner and lip color, since it's important to make the facial features pop under the intense studio lighting.

My partner and junior sister Shenhe's look is also highly eye-catching, primarily in a black-and-white color scheme with a wealth of exquisite golden embroidery and red rope ties at the neckline and wrists. Her red-soled black strappy high heels, combined with the fine straps on her calves, beautifully elongated her body proportions in the frame. When the two of us stood together, the clash of black and blue formed a perfect contrast.

Special thanks go to the photographer for the set arrangement and patient guidance during this shoot. The location was a highly atmospheric New Chinese-style studio featuring deep brown solid wood carved screens, a pale blue faux-sky backdrop, withered plum blossom branches, bamboo curtains, and a rockery in the corner. My favorite part was the mirrored water-ripple design on the floor; sitting or standing on it leaves a crisp reflection underfoot, giving the captured frame a naturally cool, deep sense of space.

During the shoot, we tried quite a few interaction poses. For instance, my solo shot holding a book scroll, and the joint scene where I sit on a wooden chair holding a mirror while my junior sister semi-crouches beside me—the photographer delivered excellent compositions from various angles. This kind of dual coordination heavily tests chemistry, but fortunately, we were both very satisfied with the costumes, hair, and props, so adapting our movements didn't take much time.

Beyond the texture of the garments themselves, the overall atmospheric presence was also something we wanted to emphasize. Combining traditional screens with modern anime Chinese-style clothing felt completely natural, instead highlighting the unique temperament of the characters as the immortal beast sisters. Every time before a shoot, preparing the props and makeup feels tedious, but the moment the camera captures the frame and everything falls into place with the light, shadow, and figure states, it all feels entirely worth it. I hope this Lantern Rite cosplay photo set allows everyone to feel a quiet and beautiful moment in this festival.
