[Shimoe Koharu Cosplay] Campus Life in Blue Archive: The Worrywart Disciplinary Committee Member

This Blue Archive Shimoe Koharu cosplay shoot chose a standard school classroom setting to match the character's student identity. For makeup and styling, to coordinate with her iconic black feather beret, I enhanced the pink-toned eye makeup and coral blush to create a sweet, fresh visual centerpiece. To recreate that delicate yet slightly sly feel, this black-and-white off-the-shoulder sailor outfit was a huge help. The off-the-shoulder design always tests shoulder and neck lines, so I adjusted my posture several times before shooting to allow my collarbone and neck ribbon bow to form the most natural diagonal line. The pink piping along sleeve edges not only echoed the hair color but also added a playful, lively touch to the dominant black-and-white palette.

Garment texture details are actually key. The thin black cord choker around the neck not only refines the neckline but also prevents the off-the-shoulder cut from shifting during frequent movements, creating a wonderful color contrast against the white sailor collar. The seemingly casual small badge print on the sleeve cuff also added layering to the clothing. For bottom wear, I paired it with a deep red pleated skirt with excellent drape; the red neutralized the cool black-and-white palette, making the whole look more vibrant. Meanwhile, the white slouch socks on my feet were intentionally chosen in a loose folded style, appearing more relaxed and laid-back than tight thigh-highs. Paired with black loafers, it nicely captured that slightly rebellious student flavor of Campus photography.

Regarding props, the pink-bordered book printed with an R18 mark was the humorous core of this shoot. Holding it in my hands, I couldn't help thinking that if Koharu actually discovered a book like this in the classroom, she'd probably blush so hard she'd want to sink into the floor. The black feather wings on the back were the main prop challenge—they needed to look fluffy and three-dimensional while ensuring they wouldn't get crushed by the chair back when sitting down, so every seated posture required micro-adjustments based on feather extension angles.

Natural lighting during the shoot was just right. Diffused light in the classroom fell softly on my face, avoiding harsh shadows and highlighting both the wig's texture and makeup seamlessly. To fit character lore, I intentionally forewent glasses to concentrate visual focus on eye makeup, expressing that subtle psychology of pretending to be calm while easily becoming embarrassed through darting glances and a slightly retracted jawline. In framing and scene selection, wooden desks and gray-white cabinets in the background provided a very clean color backdrop that didn't overpower the subject.

The whole process was not merely a character recreation, but felt more like an immersive scene experience. Sitting at the desk flipping through the prop book or resting a chin on one hand lost in thought, I felt as if I truly stepped into this character's daily life. During post-processing, I refrained from over-retouching or facial altering, preserving the original texture and skin luminescence to present a comfortable 2.5-dimensional atmosphere for this Anime girl representation. Sitting in the classroom in this outfit truly allowed me to experience another way of freezing time during youth.
