The composition of black and white twins has always been a highly expressive form, especially at the milestone of Zenless Zone Zero's 2nd Anniversary Special, where my partner and I decided to challenge Remielle's twin styling.

The visual core of this shoot is the extreme tension between "black and white." On the left are pure white wings paired with a light, white bridal-style gown, while on the right are black wings with a dark gothic corset design. In selecting costume materials, we specially considered interleaving stiff leather and soft mesh, paired with white and black tights to form a direct, powerful contrast of symbols. For hair and makeup, the pink short wig was meticulously styled; the stars and cross hair accessories on top along with the iconic pointed ears fully recreated the character's elven charm. Combined with pink contacts and eye shadow, we strove to maximize her ethereal, exquisite feel for this Game cosplay.

The shooting location was selected in a space filled with large monitor speakers and vintage CRT televisions. This industrial, underground cyber-vibe environment perfectly matched the core retro-electronic atmosphere of Zenless Zone Zero. Background elements like cathode-ray tube TVs with lit screens, yellow-and-black striped hazard boxes, and various faders on the mixing console became fantastic carriers for this cosplay image. The photographer leveraged a collision between warm yellow background light strips and a cool white main light source, casting over white wings and black mesh garments to reflect starkly contrasting textures.

Regarding the presentation of the "narcissistic twin" feel, my partner and I discussed it for a long time. Although our appearances were identical, the differentiation in costume colors required us to create echoes and bonds through movement. From lying prone at the beginning (showcasing flying skirt hems and leg lines), to hand-holding interactions, down to the final heart-making gesture shots, every pose attempted to weaken the isolated feel of a single person. The reaction of the Black and white stockings twins under light and shadow was also fascinating: white was clean and bright, while black absorbed light; when ankles overlapped, that intersection of lines provided just the visual enjoyment we wanted to present.

The day of the shoot really tested our chemistry, as we had to strike poses that looked casual yet required strict angle control. Photographer @吃冰的冰焰 was a huge help in capturing dynamic moments and managing expressions, allowing us to maintain the character's cool detachment while still displaying a touch of warmth close to real life. For instance, in the heart-making photo, we tried several times to find the sweet spot where hand contours were clear without stiffness ruining the vibe.

The costume, makeup, and props for this cosplay—especially the wing props on our backs—required extra care when moving and changing poses to avoid damaging feathers or snagging fabric. But seeing the final photos made every fine adjustment totally worth it. In Zenless Zone Zero's worldview filled with noise and fluorescence, showcasing another side of the character through Black and white stockings twins fulfilled our pursuit of anime styling while giving the entire image its own narrative atmosphere. Creating this 2nd Anniversary Special for Zenless Zone Zero by restoring the character in this twin form was a truly special experience.
