This time cosplaying Remielle, the preparatory work actually took a lot of thought. Let's start with the wig; this kind of pink short hair is actually quite difficult to manage. To make the hair strands look layered in front of the lens, I did many rounds of trimming and styling in advance, trying to capture that slightly wavy yet messy feel so it wouldn't look like a stiff, fake wig. The silver cross hairclip on top of the head is the finishing touch, and its angle was adjusted several times to ensure it would be captured during the high-angle overhead shots.
In terms of makeup, to fit the ACG aesthetic, a lot of effort went into the eye makeup. Using dark eyeshadow to extensively blend around the eye area, combined with exaggerated false eyelashes and elongated eyeliner, magnified the proportions of the eyes. The lip gloss was chosen to be light and slightly glossy, keeping the overall makeup clean and translucent without looking muddy. The shooting light was deliberately chosen to be soft light with a cool tone, which makes the skin look fairer and fits the overall atmosphere better.
There are also quite a few details in the clothing. The neckline features a white ruffled design, and the cross straps on the shoulders and chest paired with metal O-rings instantly bring out the techwear design sense. To ensure the fit of the straps, many hidden fixing treatments were done inside to prevent them from slipping during the shoot. The white mesh tulle material on the legs paired with ribbon bows is actually quite a highlight of the entire styling. This material has a slight texture under the lens, and combined with the thin straps, it visually lengthens the leg shape significantly. To capture this lazy yet slightly sexy perspective, the photographer used a high-angle overhead shot, and also used dark objects in the foreground of the frame for some obstruction to increase depth of field and stereoscopic sense. I just needed to raise my eyes slightly to look into the lens while maintaining a calm expression, and that unique ACG temperament would flow out naturally.
Actually, during the shooting process, maintaining the high-angle pose for a long time was quite tiring; I had to keep my head tilted back and control my facial muscles so they wouldn't get too stiff. The metal rings on the clothes would sometimes press against the skin, requiring adjustments at any time. However, seeing the effect of the final photos, I felt all the previous hard work was worth it. There are quite a few straps and decorations on the body, so when moving, I had to be careful not to reveal anything and ensure the bow shapes looked nice. The background was deliberately chosen to be a large area of light-colored glossy surface, completely highlighting the main subject and keeping it from looking cluttered. The entire shooting process went smoothly, and the final visual effect matched my conception of this character in my mind. I hope you all will like this style.
