This shoot features Rem's Demon angel form from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-. Since the form is set as an angel, the overall hair, makeup, and scene coordination were styled toward an ethereal, pure aesthetic.

The short blue wig was paired with a white rose floral wreath and pink side bows. To preserve facial dimensions under bright outdoor lighting, I chose bright blue contacts echoing the hair color, while keeping the base makeup fair and translucent. For the costume, a simple white slip White dress was chosen, with the highlights being the massive white feather wings on the back and white tulle ribbons wrapped around the arms and neck. This lightweight fabric fluttered beautifully in the gentle breeze, adding dynamic aesthetic appeal to the frame.

The beach location was chosen primarily to utilize the wet sand after low tide as a natural mirror. In the first and sixth photos, the reflection of the figure on the water surface is clearly visible, which, paired with post-processed rainbow flares and fluttering white feathers, greatly enhanced the dreamy and sacred feel of the composition. During shooting, we made numerous attempts with backlighting and side-backlighting, using wide-aperture high-key overexposure to envelop the scene in luminous highlights, emphasizing the angel's untainted purity. To express the contrast between "demon" and "angel," instead of stiff standing poses, the movement design incorporated looking back over the shoulder, gazing up at the sky, and clasping hands in prayer—attempting to encase an inner fighting will within a soft, graceful silhouette.

It was quite windy on the day of the shoot; while it created ideal conditions for the fluttering ribbons, it caused considerable trouble for controlling the wings. Staff members frequently had to help adjust the feather alignment from just outside the frame to achieve the most natural look. Light control was also a challenge—being close to the ocean with intense surface glare, a reflector was needed at proper angles to fill light onto the face so it wouldn't turn into a washed-out, chalky white. Post-processing focused on unified colors, significantly desaturating ambient surroundings to emphasize the pure clarity of blue and white while preserving natural skin texture.

For this photo set, I value atmospheric expression above all. Rather than simply recreating the character's physical appearance, I sought to convey the sacred aura and untouchable detachment of this specific form through fabric textures, cool ambient scenery, and nuanced lighting. Trying this style by the sea was full of novelty from start to finish, and I hope this work comprehensively conveys the expressive power of this form in an alternative context.
