This shoot chose Reze's black dress styling. The design of this black strapless dress is extremely eye-catching, and the high-split tailoring wonderfully elongates the leg lines when posing. The material of the dress body carries a slight glossy shimmer, paired with black over-the-elbow long gloves and a leather choker on the neck, overall creating a temperament that is both elegant and tinged with danger. The black leather leg ring on the thigh is a key detail, adding plenty of functional vibe and layering to the overall look while also giving the gaze a resting point.
For the wig, I trimmed the layers so the bangs fit the face shape better, and pinned a small white daisy on the side, serving as a bright highlight against the dark overall coordination. In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on the eye makeup and lip makeup; the burgundy eyeshadow echoes the hair color, and the lipstick was chosen in a dark red tone, bringing out a touch of cold glamour. The eye makeup was appropriately deepened to make the gaze look more powerful.
Regarding props, two things were prepared: first, a white artificial bouquet; second, a black prop handgun. Standing by the railing holding the white flower, the black-and-white contrast is extremely strong with ample visual impact—this contrast is also what this shoot wanted to emphasize. When holding the gun, matched with different gazes, it can express even more narrative sense of the character, especially sitting by the roadside at night, looking at the lens or elsewhere, both can convey different emotions.
The shooting venue was chosen around the outdoor pathways and footbridges, flanked by dense green plants and metal railings. During daytime shooting, natural light and the structure of the railing were utilized to capture relatively clear images, using a wide aperture to blur the background trees, concentrating the visual attention entirely on the subject and costume. At night, with the aid of streetlights and fill-light equipment, the blurred bokeh of the background added an extra layer of atmospheric feel to the frame, and the roadside traffic cones unexpectedly became a background element with a bit of urban feel in the frame.
When sitting or standing against the metal railing, the environment can be well utilized to relax body posture. For instance, lifting one leg slightly to step on the railing crossbeam, or leaning sideways against the railing to display the skirt's split, can showcase a casual yet somewhat languid state. This high-split dress requires attention to adjusting the skirt hem's direction during seated shots, letting it drape naturally or scatter on the floor tiles, which, paired with black high heels, lengthens the overall visual proportions. During the shooting process, I was also constantly adjusting my posture, such as keeping my back straight and shoulders relaxed, which makes one look more relaxed and expansive in front of the lens. The cooperation with the photographer was very tacit; whether it was the early lighting communication or on-site pose adjustments, efficiency was high. I am extremely satisfied with the presentation effect of this styling, and I've tried my best to showcase that unique feel of the character.
