[Peachie Cosplay] Chivalric Style from Fruity Robo, Holding a Sword at Changsha ACC Anime Convention

In the venue of Changsha ACC Anime Convention, I completed this photoset wearing this carefully prepared Peachie look. Standing on the black reflective floor, the overhead spotlighting formed sparkling points like a starry sky, perfectly complementing the light texture of the outfit. As it was my first time officially cosplaying this character at Changsha ACC, preparing everything from wig styling to overall costume tuning took several days in advance. Today I'd like to share the authentic feelings behind these photos and how we captured the charm of this styling from different angles.

Let's first talk about the design details of the costume. The overall palette features soft pink and pale white, interwoven with sage green ribbons and tulle to preserve visual layering while maintaining an ethereal, fairy-like grace. The fabric was chosen for its lightness and breathability, fluttering easily as I walked. Shaping the wig took considerable thought: both sides featured bun and braid updos, interspersed with plush hair accessories and small flower ornaments to faithfully restore the character's serene yet playful charm. Pearl necklaces at the neck and bracelets on the wrists were all fully fitted, as these small details are crucial for high accuracy.

The primary prop for this shoot was a long sword decorated with white tassels and an animal-shaped ornament. The sword hilt and sheath were both pure white; because the tassel material was light, it blended seamlessly into the airy, floating setting whether swinging or held statically. Handling the prop required careful attention to angles to convey length and substance without tangling the tassels. In the frontal view of Photo 3, I held the long sword horizontally in both hands, looking straight into the lens to showcase the character's firm side. Meanwhile, the side glance in Photo 1 created contrast by softening my gaze and pairing it with a sword-finger gesture to display nimbleness and mystery.

At our Changsha ACC booth, big thanks go to photographers @deserve and WiFi for their assistance. Photo 2's high-angle shot especially tested our coordination. I needed to sit on the ground, spreading the skirt completely into an umbrella shape to extend a comfortable circular radius around my feet, holding the long sword in both hands with my head tilted down. This seemingly static posture placed high demands on lighting and fabric drape. Fortunately, the overhead spotlights inside the hall cast a soft color gradient over the pink tulle dress, helping achieve a superb composition.

Three shutter clicks yielded three completely different atmospheres: the glance back in Photo 1 was vivid and nimble, the seated pose in Photo 2 was calm and composed, and the frontal sword-holding stance in Photo 3 balanced strength with delicacy. Amid dense convention crowds, finding a quiet corner to complete shots quickly relied entirely on the photographers' professional judgment and logistics staff blocking pedestrian traffic in time. Because the outfit consisted of multiple layers of light tulle and bows, sitting on the ground wrinkled the skirt hem easily, so we spent extra time smoothing the garment flow after finishing Photo 2.

To be honest, high temperatures inside Changsha ACC Anime Convention that day, combined with harsh overhead lights and heavy wig styling, made the entire shoot a test of physical endurance and focus. However, seeing the final photos completely washed away the fatigue. Both the intersecting lighting at the venue and the enthusiastic convention atmosphere made this photoshoot extraordinarily memorable.

Looking back at these three photos, though composition and emotional expressions vary, together they fully portray the character across different states. Experiencing such a focused and meticulous shoot amidst a fast-paced anime convention is truly rare. Beyond thanking the photographers for their patient guidance and capture, I feel fulfilled having calmed my mind amidst the bustle to control every breath before the shutter click. Paired with this pink-and-white Traditional style cosplay outfit, I gradually found resonance with the character in front of the lens. This is perhaps the unique experience cosplay brings me—engaging in a dialogue with character design to tell its distinct story through imagery.
