Today's set of photos coincided perfectly with celebrating Lisa's birthday. When cosplaying Suzuran, the biggest challenge is always the massive plush tail and ears. To ensure optimal fluffiness in front of the lens, we went through several kinds of faux fur before finally settling on this material with golden-brown gradients and white fur tips. During the on-location shoot, it was indeed very vulnerable to the wind—even the slightest movement meant having to tidy it up all over again.

For the costume, I chose an off-white plush cardigan paired with a light-blue pinafore dress, layered over a white collared shirt with a red bow tie. The color of the bow tie was one of the few high-saturation pops in the entire scene, serving as a lovely accent under the warm lighting. The white side lacing and lace trim on the skirt demanded meticulous craftsmanship, which is also key to faithfully bringing the character to life. Under the warm yellow studio lights, a delicate halo of fuzz appeared along the edges of the plush cardigan, blending seamlessly with the angel wing reliefs and cascading white drapes of the church backdrop to create an airy, ethereal mood.

The wig was custom-made in a vibrant bright yellow. To achieve the fluffy volume typical of anime styling, I used a curling iron to add gentle, subtle waves and gave the crown extra padding so wearing the hat wouldn't cause it to look flat. The makeup mainly highlighted the green pupils, featuring an eye makeup technique that deepened the contours, paired with an orange-toned lip tint to echo the warm palette of the attire.

During the shoot, I specifically asked the photographer to take more front-facing and full-body compositions. For the shot where I held the blue-and-white bouquet, I requested that the focus rest squarely on the eyes and the flowers. The shadows cast by the church window mullions intertwined with the light from the chandeliers, functioning like a natural softbox and giving my skin a remarkably luminous, translucent look. In terms of lighting, we set up a high-wattage warm yellow key light at an angle from the subject, supplemented by a reflector board in front to lift facial shadows. This not only ensured the character stood out against the intricate backdrop but also fully preserved the plush texture of the garments.

The positioning of the tail also required careful thought. When standing, I relied on waist support to let the tail drape naturally into a fan shape; while sitting, I draped the tail around my side, which not only filled the empty space in the frame but also boosted the character's cuteness. To prevent the tail from getting compressed and misshapen in seated poses, we placed a soft cushion underneath, so even in full-body seated shots, the tail maintained its full, plump appearance. The lace and ribbon details on the dress stood out brilliantly on camera, and paired with brown leather shoes and white socks, the recreation was spot-on.

Although wearing a thick plush cardigan along with a massive tail in an indoor venue felt quite warm and stuffy, seeing the finished photos made everything feel worthwhile. The entire shoot was a test of stamina and patience, especially since plush fabrics attract lint easily and needed a lint roller every time we switched spots. I hope this heartfelt dedication reaches everyone who loves Lisa. Happy birthday to little Lisa!
