[Ryuge Kisaki cosplay] The Master's Charm in a Fusion of Traditional Chinese Style Qipao and Striped Jacket

This time I chose Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive, the familiar "Master" known to everyone. Ever since following the story, I've had a strong fondness for this academy syndicate leader—the way she carries an imposing title yet exhibits an untamed, nonchalant charm in daily life is truly captivating. So when preparing for this shoot, I was constantly thinking about how to combine that commanding presence with a subtle everyday ease.

The styling of this outfit took quite some thought. To match the Master's daily style, I chose a classic short black-and-gold Traditional Chinese style Qipao as the main piece. The dark fabric is embroidered with golden mythical beast patterns, while the high collar and blue frog closures add a restrained and exquisite touch to the color scheme. The high-slit design paired with white pantyhose visually elongates body proportions nicely, and the classic shiny black Mary Jane shoes balance the aesthetic between traditional Chinese elegance and Western vintage flair. The light blue-gray striped outerwear wasn't worn strictly, but half-draped or casually slung over the crook of the arm, which, combined with black gloves, maximized that relaxed, effortless aura of someone who commands her domain with complete ease.

The hair and makeup closely followed the original character design. Double buns were styled on top with blue floral accessories on the side, paired with straight blunt bangs. To match the dynamism of different poses, I experimented with both letting the ponytail cascade down the shoulders and keeping it tied up; either way, it beautifully framed the Master's slightly haughty yet cool-headed facial expression.

This photo set was shot against a pure white studio background. Initially, I worried that a pure white backdrop might be too monotonous, but in reality, it perfectly highlighted the costume's colors, textures, and the character's nuanced expressions. The wooden chair and vintage brown leather suitcase as props framed the scene into a narrative-rich, static portrait. In particular, sitting on the chair with legs naturally crossed avoided overly forced posing while showcasing the visual features of the high slit and White stockings cosplay as a 2D anime girl.

I've always loved Ryuge Kisaki's character setting. Pairing a Traditional Chinese style Qipao with a fashionable striped jacket was an attempt to add some stylized flair while staying faithful to the original design. The shoot went very smoothly, and the overall lighting nicely brought out the contours and gazes. This photo release serves as a complete interpretation of the Master; every styling detail, from accessory placement to hair and makeup lines, reached my expectations as closely as possible. Post-processing avoided over-the-top edits, focusing mainly on capturing the garment's authentic texture and the character's subtle aura. I hope everyone who sees these photos can feel the Master's unique charm.
