This Tornado of Terror cosplay look finally completed its location shoot in a rocky seaside area. The black robe and bright green curly hair, combined with this high-contrast natural environment, yielded final photos with much more texture and quality than expected.

Regarding the costume, the high-collared black robe is made of a fabric with a certain drape, and the iconic high slits and side ribbons are key to recreating the character. To avoid any risk of wardrobe malfunctions while posing for various large-scale movements outdoors, the tailor did a lot of detailed work on the lining and fastening methods. The biggest highlight of the entire look, in my opinion, is those black ribbons blown by the sea breeze, which beautifully echo the visual tension accompanied by surging energy in the character's original design.

The shooting locations were mainly chosen on the breakwater composed of seaside rock piles. The sunlight that day was very intense, which perfectly created a high-contrast light and shadow effect. These heavy, rough greyish-white rocks formed a wonderful visual contrast with the figure wrapped in black. Whether it was a still shot of sitting on the rock pile making a specific hand gesture with one hand, or a dynamic snapshot of jumping mid-air on a single foot over the reef rocks, the entire environment provided excellent compositional layers. The shot standing by the sea with my back to the camera hides my face due to backlighting, but it fits the character's proud, lonely, and mysterious vibe perfectly, with the shimmering reflection of the sea surface serving as an excellent embellishment.

In location shoots, I personally value the assistance brought by natural conditions very much. The sea breeze brings challenges, but it is also the best prop. Whenever the wind picks up, those ribbons naturally curl and flutter in mid-air, allowing us to capture many dynamic moments without having to intentionally toss them. The only difficulty lay in managing this short green curly wig. To maintain that fluffy yet well-layered curl, the wig needed meticulous combing and styling the day before, and in the humid seaside environment, I had to constantly prevent it from getting messy, which really tested technique and patience.

Aside from the seaside, we also changed to a forest path scene. Compared to standing or sitting on hard rocks, the atmosphere of the forest path was much more serene and secluded. The light filtered through the leaves, forming dappled shadows, which, paired with my standing pose with arms crossed, showcased a different facet of the character. The more complex the environment, the more stable your mindset needs to be during shooting. Maintaining a cool and detached expression under the sea breeze, jagged rocks, and intense sunlight is actually not easy; it requires not only postural balance but also constant attention to expression management.

After the final photos came out, I felt that I really put a lot of effort into the fidelity of this styling. From the details of the wig and the cut of the dress to the utilization of wind, light, and the environment during the shoot, the whole process was hard work but a lot of fun. I hope everyone can feel the charm of combining this character's outfit with the setting through this set of photos.
